Join a team on a mission to make Kids+ every child's favorite destination to independently create, explore, and learn — and give parents the confidence to let them. As an QAE on the Kids+ Child-First Experiences team, you'll be the guardian for voice-first and cross-surface experiences that millions of kids ages 3–12 interact with every day, from AI-powered storytelling adventures to conversational content discovery powered by Alexa.

In this role, you'll be the anchor for ensuring premium, subscription-defining experiences deliver flawlessly across Echo devices, FireTV, and Tablet — experiences compelling enough to make Kids+ a must-have for tens of millions of families worldwide. You'll own quality, design and implement tools for child-adapted UIs and voice interactions, navigating the unique intersection of delight and compliance in child-directed design while building intelligent test automation that scales across our organization.

Key job responsibilities
Own quality for voice-first (VUI) and cross-surface (GUI/native/web) experiences for features like Stories with Alexa and Create Your Own Adventure, leveraging AI and LLM-based frameworks to build intelligent evaluation systems

Lead cross-stack quality validation across device, app, and server-driven CX implementations — making smart tradeoffs that balance child experience, legal constraints, and platform capabilities while ensuring quality at every step of the CI/CD pipeline

Partner across Amazon Kids and Alexa Kids groups to establish quality standards for flagship integrations and conversational content discovery mechanisms, creating reusable testing frameworks and self-service tooling that enable development teams to move faster

Scale the high bar for quality execution across the Kids engineering organization, mentoring teams on child-adaptation testing best practices, establishing SLAs and unit test coverage goals, and fostering a quality-first mindset throughout the organization

A day in the life
No two days look exactly the same in this role, but most of your time is spent doing what great engineers do best: designing quality strategies, building automation frameworks, and increasingly, directing AI-assisted testing to validate high-quality experiences faster. You'll engineer systems that assess relevancy to requirements, accuracy, and responsiveness across voice, multimodal, firetv and tablet platforms — going far beyond binary pass/fail tests.

The remaining time is spent shaping the technical direction of the team, conducting root cause analysis on complex issues spanning multiple systems, and influencing how the broader organization builds quality into products for kids.

- Experience in automation testing
- Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects
