Microsoft’s Cloud business is expanding, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the hardware infrastructure underlying this growth including AI! CSCP’s vision is to empower customers to achieve more by delivering Cloud and AI capabilities at scale. Our mission is to deliver the world's computer with an industry-leading supply chain. The CSCP organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as plan, source, make, deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), sustainability, and decommissioning of datacenter assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is supported by more than 300 datacenters around the world that enable services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries.

The Cloud Sourcing, Security and Sustainability (CS3) organization within CSCP manages sourcing, strategy, and suppliers to provide cost, flexibility, and supply advantages that enable our org to become a world-class supply chain. Well-defined and executed sourcing and supply chain management ensures reliable, on-time performance and optimized cost, prevents urgent and unplanned investments, and provides accurate and timely information across the supply base and internally across the infrastructure organization. Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage short-range and long-range forecasts for substrates and test hardware needs, engaging partners in regular reviews.
  • Secure capacity and actively manage allocation metrics to optimize supply chain performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams on planning, decision-making, and alignment initiatives.
  • Create and utilize planning models for scenario analysis and addressing supply challenges proactively.
  • Extract insights from planning models and present strategic options for decision-making.
  • Lead capacity planning processes and ensure delivery through the product life cycle phases.
  • Drive supplier delivery, track performance, and conduct supplier business reviews and scorecards.
  • Act as the primary supply chain liaison with external manufacturing partners.
  • Enhance resilience of the supply chain by implementing dual-source supply strategies.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 3+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, Sales & Operations Planning, material requirement planning systems and tools or related experience
  • OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 1+ year(s) supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, Sales & Operations Planning, material requirement planning systems and tools or related experience 
  • OR equivalent experience.
     

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements is required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screening:  
    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check. This position is required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of professional experience in semiconductor supply chains.
  • Hands-on experience with OSATs, test hardware suppliers, and manufacturing operations.
  • Expertise in statistical models and tools for forecasting and scenario planning.
  • Proficiency with enterprise-level ERP/MRP platforms (e.g., SAP).
  • MBA/Master’s degree with proven business acumen, stakeholder management expertise.


Supply Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,600 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $125,000 - $206,400 per year.
