In the Customer Success team, we are looking for people with commitment for delivering customer success. As a Chief of Staff - Cloud Accelerate Factory also refer as the Technical Program Manager in the Worldwide team, you will partner with the Field Customer Success teams and other stakeholders to enable customers to achieve their Frontier Transformation outcomes. Azure is the most comprehensive, innovative, and flexible cloud platform today and Microsoft is hiring professionals that will drive customer cloud adoption for AI Innovation within the most important companies in the market. Cloud Accelerate Factory (“Factory”) is a differentiated delivery investment from Microsoft designed to jumpstart the cloud journey for customers through hands-on deployment assistance from Microsoft. 

The Business Manager / Chief of Staff serves as a strategic partner to the Vice President and leadership team, helping drive business execution, operational excellence, organizational health, and strategic initiatives. This role acts as a force multiplier for the VP by creating clarity, alignment, and accountability across the organization.  

The successful candidate combines strategic thinking, operational rigor, executive communications, and stakeholder management to accelerate business outcomes and enable leadership effectiveness.

Responsibilities

•    Drive business operations, planning, and execution: Partner with leaders and stakeholders to translate strategy into execution plans, manage organizational planning and rhythm of business, track performance through scorecards and metrics, and ensure alignment with strategic priorities.

•    Lead financial, resource, and operational management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, headcount and resource planning, monitor business performance, identify course-correction opportunities, and support business continuity and compliance across the organization.

•    Enable leadership effectiveness and organizational health: Strengthen executive communications, build strategic stakeholder relationships, align team activities with leadership objectives, uphold confidentiality, and drive culture, inclusion, compliance, and employee engagement initiatives.

•    Deliver cross-functional programs and strategic initiatives: Manage complex projects and programs, coordinate across teams, create clarity in ambiguous situations, facilitate decision-making, and drive successful execution of high-impact business priorities.

Business Strategy & Planning  

  • Partner with the VP and leadership team on annual planning, fiscal management, and strategic priorities.  
  • Drive execution against business objectives, key results, and operational metrics.  
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities and help develop mitigation plans.  

Rhythm of Business  

  • Own executive ROB across monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews.  
  • Develop executive-ready insights and recommendations.  
  • Ensure leadership decisions are translated into measurable actions.  

Leadership Team Effectiveness  

  • Drive alignment across leadership team priorities and initiatives.  
  • Facilitate leadership meetings and track action items.  
  • Improve cross-functional collaboration and decision making.  

Communications & Executive Presence  

  • Lead internal communications and executive messaging.  
  • Prepare leadership presentations, town halls, all-hands meetings, and stakeholder briefings.  
  • Represent leadership priorities across partner organizations.  

Financial & Organizational Management  

  • Partner with Finance on budget planning, forecasting, and resource allocation.  
  • Support workforce planning, organizational design, and hiring strategies.  
  • Monitor organizational health and employee engagement.  

Special Projects  

  • Lead strategic initiatives requiring coordination across multiple organizations.  
  • Drive operational transformation and process improvements.  
  • Create clarity in ambiguous situations and accelerate decision making.  

 



Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 4+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles OR equivalent experience.

 

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Master's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 6+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles OR Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 8+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles OR equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in Cloud & AI Platforms, Tools, Services, on the Microsoft Cloud or other cloud environments.   
  • 2+ years experience in Operational execution or leadership role and working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external) 
  • Prior experience in Finance Operations or related roles


Business Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,600 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $125,000 - $206,400 per year.
