Position Summary
The Senior Commercial Manager is responsible for driving business growth and commercial excellence in China by leading the sales and application teams while partnering closely with the marketing team to develop and execute commercial initiatives. The role supports the Bulk Element Analysis portfolio, including elemental analysis technologies serving industrial, environmental, mining, metals, battery, semiconductor, and academic customers. This role develops and executes commercial strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share objectives while ensuring alignment with global business priorities.
As a key business leader in a global matrix organization, the role partners closely with Global Business Units, Manufacturing, Product Management, and other cross-functional stakeholders to deliver business results and enhance customer value.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commercial strategies to achieve business growth and financial objectives.
- Lead sales and application teams and influence cross-functional teams, including Marketing, to execute commercial strategies and achieve business objectives.
- Drive business planning, forecasting, pipeline management, pricing, and commercial excellence initiatives.
- Identify market opportunities and develop strategies to expand market share and accelerate growth.
- Collaborate with Global Business Units to support product strategy, new product introductions, and localization initiatives.
- Influence and align cross-functional stakeholders in a matrix organization to drive execution and achieve business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of commercial leadership experience in Life Sciences, Analytical Instruments, Diagnostics, Healthcare, or related industries.
- Proven commercial leadership experience leading Sales and/or Application teams, with demonstrated success influencing Marketing and other cross-functional stakeholders in a matrix organization.
- Strong business acumen with experience in commercial strategy, business planning, forecasting, and market development.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a global matrix organization and influence stakeholders across functions and regions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin.
