Description
You'll play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing facilities in this role. As a Facility Specialist III, you'll ensure optimal operation of building systems and infrastructure while supporting our mission to enable customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. You'll lead facilities-related projects, manage critical building systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and maintain an efficient, safe, and compliant work environment. This role offers excellent opportunities to drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement innovative solutions across our Brno facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for operation, maintenance, and optimization of HVAC systems, cooling systems, compressed air systems, plumbing systems, and mechanical infrastructure.
- Ensure preventive maintenance and technical operation of HVAC systems and mechanical utilities.
- Monitor and optimize HVAC system performance, energy efficiency, and environmental conditions.
- Lead facility-related mechanical and HVAC projects including upgrades, retrofits, and installations.
- Coordinate external suppliers, contractors, service providers, and maintenance schedules for mechanical systems.
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, inspections, and corrective actions for HVAC and mechanical systems.
- Support GMP compliance, environmental health & safety standards, and internal facility procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering, EHS, production, and facility teams on technical improvements and operational support.
- Participate in emergency response activities and on-call support when required.
- Drive continuous improvement and energy optimization initiatives across facility infrastructure.
Requirements
- Secondary technical education or university degree in relevant technical field depending on experience.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in facilities management or technical building operations.
- Experience with building automation systems (BMS) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Strong project management and contractor coordination skills.
- Knowledge of GMP regulations and quality management systems is an advantage.
- Experience with technical documentation, maintenance planning, and facility compliance.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office suite.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Czech language required; English language at communicative level required.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, cooling systems, compressed air systems, plumbing systems, and facility mechanical infrastructure.
