This role provides strategic and operational leadership for Environment and Process Monitoring(EPM) business in Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) region and drives the strategic growth agenda. Reporting to the CAD APJ Commercial leader, this role provides strategic and operational commercial leadership for the EPM business across APJ, driving the growth agenda and disciplined execution to meet and beat financial commitments. You will develop and deploy differentiated customer value propositions, strengthen customer satisfaction, and accelerate market share gains across key customer segments and applications in partnership with geos within APJ.
What Will you do
Commercial Leadership
Partner with APJ country/sub-region leadership and commercial teams to develop and execute EPM-specific country strategies, including GTM (direct vs indirect), key segment focus, NPI deployments, and strategic initiatives.
Bring global EPM strategies to APJ and serve as the voice of the region back to the division—translating market dynamics into actionable priorities for portfolio, pricing, and enablement.
Lead multi-country, matrixed commercial teams through commercial discipline (funnel management, forecast rigor, win-rate improvement, share gain, productivity techniques).
Develop a deep understanding of APJ market dynamics, customer workflows, and EPM value propositions to improve customer intimacy, conversion, and competitive positioning.
Represent APJ as the commercial voice for monthly/quarterly business reviews, AOP planning, and strategic planning cycles.
In partnership with sub-regions, own Bookings, Revenue, and Opex forecasting and ensure execution to plan; drive corrective actions where performance gaps emerge.
Strategy Deployment
Interlock between the global BU, CAD APJ and countries in APJ to ensure deployment of global strategy in alignment with local context and market dynamics for revenue growth and market share gain
Key account strategy (as applicable) for working with sub regions within APJ to drive incremental growth through value proposition and workflow selling solutions
Identify and evaluate market opportunities for growth (new customer segments, adjacent applications, new go-to-market routes) and translate these into executable plays.
Key Stakeholder Management
Develop deep connections with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) and key customers and stakeholders in the region.
Explore opportunities for new business, customer experience improvement and large deals through these connections.
Monitor market intelligence including competition, macroeconomics and the regulatory environment; Collection of Voice of Customer and Voice of Commercial metrics for decision making
Drive Technology upskilling and Customer Value Proposition
Enable access to technical resourcing, training, education and competency development to the region from global teams and technical centers of expertise
Secure support, content and training for NPIs
Drive commercial excellence initiatives and adoption of the full customer value proposition (CVP)
Talent Development for Growth
Act as a curator and developer of internal and external talent to fuel our STRAP goals for the region
Develop roadmap of talent and skillsets required for the future of business growth
How will you get there
Bachelor’s degree of business management, chemistry, engineering, physics, or equivalent. MBA is preferred.
10+ years Sales/Commercial Experience with 6+ years leadership experience from related industries in a MNC environment
Exposure to Clean Energy, Mining/Minerals, Industrial sectors is a plus
Demonstrated experience working effectively across businesses and regions in a multi divisional matrix organization to achieve commercial objectives
Strong Business communication skills
Strong knowledge of financial and business operations with proven ability to drive margin expansion and operational improvements
Ability to develop creative growth strategies and guide successful execution
Relevant experience in managing business functions with minimum 5 years P&L general management experience
Ability and desire to travel ~40-50% of time, mainly within APJ region
