DESCRIPTION:


As a Team Leader, Operations at Thermo Fisher Scientific inTilburg, you will contribute to operational excellence while enabling our mission to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. You will guide a team responsible for manufacturing operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Working in a cGMP environment, you'll oversee daily production activities, develop team members, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and meet customer demands.


You will support a culture of operational excellence by implementing lean manufacturing principles and maintaining compliance with quality standards. Through effective leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams, you'll ensure on-time delivery while maintaining exceptional product quality. Your role will be instrumental in developing talent, improving processes, and contributing to our company's growth and success in serving science.


REQUIREMENTS:


• Advanced Degree with no experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of manufacturing experience with leadership role experience
• Preferred Fields of Study: science, engineering, or related field
• Technical certifications or military technical training may be considered
• Strong knowledge of cGMP, ISO standards, and quality management systems
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams of 5-12 direct reports
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with data-driven decision making
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems
• Experience with production scheduling and resource planning
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed
• Physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Demonstrated success improving safety, quality, and efficiency metrics
• Experience conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Ability to work in cleanroom environments and follow strict safety protocols
• Experience with performance management and employee development
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and compliance standards

For this role, professional proficiency in English is required, as you will be working in an international environment. Fluency (conversational level) in Dutch is considered an advantage, as it will support effective communication with local stakeholders and colleagues.
