DESCRIPTION:
We seek a Accounting operation analyst II to contribute to our mission to enable customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. You'll be part of our Cash Management (RtR) Accounting Operations Team, handling important financial processes and collaborating across teams. This role offers excellent opportunities for growth while working with advanced financial systems and tools in a deadline-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily cash receipts, disbursements, and bank transactions in the accounting system.
- Perform daily, and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Perform monthly cash account reconciliation
- Investigate and resolve unreconciled items and cash discrepancies.
- Prepare and post journal entries related to cash transactions.
- Monitor cash balances and support cash flow reporting.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and internal controls.
- Coordinate with Treasury, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other finance teams regarding cash-related issues.
- Support internal and external audits by providing cash-related documentation and reconciliations.
- Prepare reports and analyses related to cash movements and bank account activities.
- Maintain accurate records of bank accounts and banking documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve cash accounting processes and automation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Min 1 year of accounting experience, preferably in cash accounting or general ledger accounting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS, as applicable).
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or similar.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or equivalent accounting certification is an advantage.
- Experience working in a shared services or multinational environment.
- Knowledge of Treasury operations and banking platforms.
- Experience with process improvement or automation tools.
