DESCRIPTION

Join our collaborative team as a Senior Business Analyst where you'll serve as a critical bridge between our legal teams and IT, delivering technology solutions that support legal operations across Thermo Fisher Scientific. In this specialized role, you'll work closely with legal professionals to understand their business and technical needs, manage support requests through ticketing systems, and lead IT initiatives for legal-focused projects.

You'll be responsible for the support and optimization of all legal / marketing and risk management applications, ensuring our business teams have the tools and systems they need to operate effectively. As the primary IT contact for legal / marketing and risk management matters, you'll analyze complex business requirements, translate them into actionable technical solutions, and implement strategic initiatives that enhance operations and workflows. You'll apply your expertise in data analysis, process optimization, and project management to deliver impactful results that support our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Advanced Degree plus 4 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 6 years of experience in business analysis or related role

  • Preferred Fields of Study: Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or related field

  • Experience and working knowledge/application of AI tools / methodologies.

  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CSPO, SAFe) are a plus

  • Proven expertise in gathering and documenting business requirements

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and business intelligence tools

  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP or Oracle

  • Advanced knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management practices

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities

  • Experience working with cross-functional, global teams

  • Strong understanding of business process modeling and optimization techniques

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, PowerBI, and project management tools

  • Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes

  • Ability to influence and build consensus across organizational levels

  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and validation requirements

  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Up to 25% travel may be required
