Original job description

Content provided by the employer

Amazon's Security team is looking for a Security Incident Response Analyst to detect, investigate, and respond to threats against a U.S. Government program building a purpose-built, classified AI Factory. We are obsessed with protecting customer trust, and on a fully air-gapped platform with no commercial cloud control plane we build our detection and response capability from the ground up. In this role you monitor security telemetry, triage and investigate alerts, drive incidents through containment, eradication, and recovery, and turn every event into better detections and playbooks. You will work in the trenches with detection engineers, SOC analysts, forensics, and our Government counterparts to keep a high-value classified system defensible around the clock. If you like being the person who runs toward the alarm and closes the loop, this role is for you.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

Key job responsibilities
• Monitor security telemetry and triage, investigate, and escalate alerts on the disconnected platform.
• Drive incidents through the full response lifecycle: containment, eradication, recovery, and after-action.
• Develop and tune detection content and response playbooks from incident learnings.
• Coordinate incident reporting and handoffs with the ISSM and Government counterparts.
