The DPO Materials Manager (DPO MM) owns ensuring the right components are available to support production at DPO facilities. The DPO MM analyzes device supply signals and applies statistical methods through the Reorder Point process to determine what components to order and when. The DPO MM partners with demand planning teams to align component orders to production requirements. The DPO MM reports material costs, including transit, tariffs, and duties, to executives and stakeholders. The DPO MM manages the Contract Manufacturer’s compliance to warehouse standards, tracks global shipments, and mitigates risks of excess and obsolete material. The DPO MM drives supplier partners to deliver on time and at the right cost. The DPO MM continuously creates and refines planning processes using a variety of tools, including AI. The DPO MM is a key member of the operations teams that drive production readiness.

Key job responsibilities
As DPO Materials Manager, you:
1. Analyze device supply signals and drive CTB using the ROP process, partnering with demand planning teams and applying statistical methods to determine component order quantities and timing. Continuously create and refine the process using a variety of tools, including AI.
2. Identify and drive solutions to reduce or eliminate any gaps in supply plans and materials, including managing and reporting on global material shipments and risks to the Dallas and Manchester facilities.
3. Authorize and drive supplier partners to procure material to support program goals.
4. Gather, analyze, and report material costs (material, transit, tariff, duties), including status, risks, and opportunities, in Amazon systems and executive reviews.
5. Manage and report on any risks of excess and obsolete (E&O) material.
6. Partner with engineering, operations, and commodity managers to define required materials for production, testing, and development.
7. Manage the Contract Manufacturer’s compliance to warehouse management standards, including FIFO rotation of components, at the Dallas and Manchester facilities.
8. Maintain material supply records and provide data feeds to Amazon’s procurement and global planning systems to support CTB and ATS calculations and Purchase Order creation.


A day in the life
The DPO MM applies statistical methods through the Reorder Point process and partners with demand planning teams to determine component order quantities and timing, continuously refining these models using AI tools. The DPO MM maintains material supply records and provides data feeds to Amazon’s procurement and global planning systems to support production calculations and purchase order creation. On any given day, the DPO MM may be monitoring global incoming shipments and working with the Contract Manufacturer to resolve material gaps, inspecting incoming material in the warehouse and verifying FIFO compliance, or connecting with engineering, operations, and commodity managers to define required materials for production, testing, and development. Weekly, the DPO MM reviews device supply signals and production readiness reports with the supplier partner, recommends the material mix and release of purchase orders, and reports material cost status, risks, and opportunities to executives.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
