Amazon Transportation Services is looking for a Supply Chain Manager II to lead the development of foundational performance metrics for the Amazon Managed 1P Intermodal (AZIM) program. This role will design, implement, and govern the measurement frameworks that define how AZIM Operations evaluates network health, service quality, and operational efficiency. The candidate will partner across Operations, Planning, Strategy, and Technology teams to ensure metrics are accurate, actionable, and aligned to long-term program objectives. This position will play a key role in shaping how the organization measures success as the program scales.

Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities include:

+Define and maintain the AZIM Operations performance measurement framework, including KPIs for on-time performance, dwell, transit consistency, attainment, and exception resolution

+Build scalable reporting and dashboarding solutions that provide real-time and historical visibility into network performance across corridors, modes, and account segments

+Partner with technology and BI teams to ensure data pipelines, metric definitions, and calculation logic are accurate, well-documented, and repeatable

+Conduct root-cause analysis on metric variances and translate findings into actionable recommendations for operations leadership

+Establish governance processes for metric ownership, refresh cadence, threshold-setting, and escalation criteria

+Drive standardization of performance language and definitions across cross-functional stakeholders (Operations, Planning, Finance, Account Management)

+Develop periodic business reviews (WBR/MBR) content, scorecards, and executive-ready narratives grounded in quantitative performance data
Identify opportunities for automation in data collection, anomaly detection, and reporting workflows

About the team
AZIM Operations is part of Intermodal & Air Optimization Technology (IAOT) and drives the end-to-end operational execution of all loads (internal and external) shipped on our 1P network. The team supports regions and shippers across the Supply Chain network and is tasked with ensuring on-time pickup and delivery of freight from vendors, Amazon fulfillment centers (FCs), rail yards and shipper hubs. In the case of disruptions, the Operations team is responsible for addressing the disruption, keeping all stakeholders informed and ensuring timely resolution of the issue. The AZIM Operations team is the first line of defense in understanding network trends, delays, dwells and other exceptions that impact AZIM's ability to deliver a world class transportation product that serves its customers on time. We operate 24/7 support and transportation operations in coordination with teams in Atlanta, Tempe, Nashville and India.

Basic Qualifications

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
