Amazon Leo is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

Customer identity is emerging as a foundational requirement as Amazon Leo scales from launch to serving consumers, small businesses, and enterprises around the world. We're looking for a Principal Product Manager to serve as the single-threaded owner for customer identity management across Leo — spanning authentication, identity strategy, customer profile data, verification and validation, and the end-to-end customer profile lifecycle. In this role, you'll define the roadmap for how customers authenticate and access their Leo accounts across web, app, API, and customer service channels; how Leo leverages and integrates with Amazon and AWS identity solutions; and the rules, states, and controls that govern customer profiles from creation through suspension, cancellation, and reinstatement.

In this role, you will collaborate directly with engineering, product, and executive leadership, and partner with stakeholders across legal, security, compliance, fraud prevention, trust and privacy, and customer experience — as well as identity organizations across Amazon. You are an experienced product manager who understands the big picture, drives prioritization, arbitrates trade-offs between customer friction, security, and compliance, rallies the team, and mentors junior product managers.

Key job responsibilities
Define product requirements for customer identity across B2C, SMB, and Enterprise segments, including authentication, profile management, and verification experiences
Set the long-term identity strategy, including how Leo integrates with Amazon and AWS identity solutions, profile federation, and SSO
Own decisions on capturing, editing, storing, and governing customer profile information (name, email, phone, address, KYC), and define verification requirements informed by regulatory, compliance, fraud, and trust considerations across countries
Define the end-to-end customer profile lifecycle — active, suspended, cancelled, and reinstated states — and the rules governing transitions
Synthesize requirements from customers, customer experience, fraud prevention, trust and privacy, legal, compliance, and security stakeholders, and make high-judgment roadmap prioritization trade-offs
Communicate to executive leadership, manage risk and escalations, and balance business needs against technical constraints

Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

About the team
We're the Amazon Leo Foundations team. We build and operate the horizontal capabilities that underpin the entire Leo product surface — including catalog, payments, promotions, and billing — serving every Leo customer segment worldwide. Customer identity is the next foundational capability we're building: one that touches every customer interaction, must scale across countries and segments, and must earn customer trust from day one.
