Amazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented attorney to support our portfolio of AWS Database, Analytics, Messaging and Storage Services. AWS offers a broad and growing portfolio of managed database, analytics, messaging, and storage services used by organizations of all sizes.
In this role, you will serve as counsel for these services, working directly with product, business, and engineering teams. You will identify legal risks and propose mitigation strategies, advise on product and regulatory compliance matters, provide input on business strategy, and support cross-functional initiatives.

You will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways, and you will build processes that address risk and allow the business to innovate and scale quickly. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations, be inquisitive and enthusiastic about technology, and enjoy working hard and being continually challenged.

A day in the life
In a typical day of a Corporate Counsel supporting AWS Database, Analytics, Messaging and Storage Services, you may negotiate a technology licensing agreement with a partner, join a product strategy discussion to help a team think through how to bring a new capability to customers, review a technology partnership agreement, and partner with colleagues on cross-team initiatives.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
