AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Sales (AGS) team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success.

The NAMER Global Sales Strategy & Operations team is seeking a driven, experienced, and strategically minded Field Sales Operations Lead for the US Specialist organization. Area Specialists engage directly with assigned customers in partnership with Field Sales teams to provide subject matter expertise critical to advancing and launching opportunities. Area Specialists are part of the Account Teams for account planning, opportunity identification and pursuit (including RFP/RFIs, architecture development), closing deals, and shepherding wins to post-sales teams. Acting as the front-line touch point for Specialist customer engagement, Area Specialists provide data and anecdotes on what is working and what is not back into Worldwide and Service teams.

The FSO Lead for NAMER Specialist Sales will serve as the dedicated operational partner to Service Domain Sales leaders within the NAMER Specialist organization, going deep into domain-specific business operations across all US industries. While Division FSOs support horizontal sales execution across their assigned division, this role is embedded in the domain motion itself, owning the operational mechanisms, goal interlock processes, and performance cadences that are unique to Specialist domains within the Sales organization. This is a forward-looking, tech-enabled operations role that goes beyond pipeline tracking and represents a strategic investment in the operational health of the domain business, ensuring that domain sales leaders can execute with rigor, scale effectively, and maximize revenue potential across their coverage areas.

This candidate will own domain-level business review cycles, drive domain pipeline inspection, manage goal interlock and tracking across annual and in-year planning cycles, and deliver standardized reporting that enables data-driven decision-making at the domain level. This role will work closely with Leaders within the Specialist Sales organization to surface performance trends, resolve execution gaps, and scale domain operations through AI-powered tools and automation. The ideal candidate brings strong business and financial acumen, deep sales operations expertise, and the ability to translate domain-level field signals into clear, actionable insights for both domain and senior leadership.
This position works with multiple stakeholders across the Specialist organization, including Domain STLs, Division FSOs, Specialist Sales leadership, Finance, Marketing, Business Development, Professional Services, and Worldwide Specialist teams. The candidate must communicate effectively across technical and non-technical business units and translate complex domain data into crisp narratives for executive audiences.

The candidate will play a key role in defining processes for domain-level territory planning, goal planning, pipeline management, and revenue tracking. A successful candidate demonstrates a proven work ethic that drives results, is willing to "roll up their sleeves" in a hands-on, matrixed environment, and actively embraces AI and automation as tools to work smarter and move faster.

Key job responsibilities
• Serve as strategic operations partner to Domain STLs and Specialist Sales leadership, driving domain-level operational rigor and enabling leaders to focus on customer engagement and revenue generation
• Own domain business review cadences including Weekly Business Reviews (WBRs), Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), and services-focused mechanisms; develop scalable, standardized templates and ensure high-quality executive presentations
• Drive domain-level pipeline inspection and growth strategies, identifying and resolving stalled opportunities to maximize domain revenue potential
• Own domain goal interlock and tracking processes across annual planning cycles and in-year adjustments; ensure domain targets are clearly defined, cascaded, and consistently measured
• Develop and maintain standardized domain-level reporting and dashboards that support data-driven decision-making for senior and domain leadership
• Identify and adopt AI-powered tools and automation capabilities to streamline domain operational workflows, accelerate business cadences, and deliver higher-quality insights with greater speed and less manual effort
• Demonstrate proficiency with and curiosity about productivity and AI-powered tools used across the organization, including Excel, RowZero, Amazon QuickSuite, NarrateAI, InstructAI, Smartsheet, SIFT, and Salesforce, to accelerate workflows and surface insights at speed and scale
• Support domain-level coverage model design, territory alignment, and compensation plan execution within the Specialist Sales organization
• Work cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, HR, Marketing, Business Development, Professional Services, Partner teams, and Worldwide Specialist counterparts to align and execute domain operational priorities
• Partner with Division-aligned FSOs to coordinate between domain and division-level operational priorities, ensuring consistency and reducing duplication
• Identify reporting gaps and process deficiencies within the domain motion, driving timely resolution and continuous improvement
• Develop routine and ad-hoc analytic reports for senior management on domain performance, pipeline health, and progress against goals
