Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack, backend-leaning), you will design and build end-to-end product experiences atop EP’s core capabilities. You will own scalable backend services and APIs while also crafting user interfaces and front-end architecture that are performant, accessible, and intuitive. You’ll demonstrate strong product taste, connecting technical and functional requirements to real customer outcomes, and collaborate closely with product, design, and partner teams to deliver impactful enterprise experiences.

You will be part of the Enterprise Platform (EP) team, which serves as the core platform for every paid product at LinkedIn. This platform sits horizontally across other LinkedIn products offering user and license management capabilities together with identity and access management. From a technical scale perspective, the team owns and handles:

  • Over 200 APIs that support enterprise products and workflows across 50+ code repositories and one Ring 1 service.
  • More than 150 data tables storing 90+ TB of critical enterprise data across Espresso, MySQL, Pinot, Couchbase.
  • Systems that handle 500K+ peak requests per second.
  • Hosted search infrastructure powering enterprise search experiences.
  • More than 160 nearline and offline processing jobs that support not only Enterprise Platform teams but also multiple product organisations across LinkedIn.

At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

  • Deliver end-to-end features across the stack: data modeling, business logic, API contracts, UI flows, and instrumentation.
  • Produce high-quality software that is well-tested, code-reviewed, and integrated continuously.
  • Apply product sense to prioritize work, define clear success metrics, and connect features to customer value; leverage data and experimentation to iterate.
  • Identify and evangelize opportunities to improve engineering productivity, reliability, and developer experience across EP Experience.
  • Mentor peers, contribute to technical direction, and uphold high standards in security, privacy, and compliance.
