ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Material Handler to support warehouse and logistics operations for our data center construction and operations in Memphis, TN. In this role, you will handle the receiving, storage, staging, and movement of high-value materials and equipment (including servers, networking gear, power systems, cooling infrastructure, and other critical components). You will work closely with the logistics and site operations teams to ensure timely, accurate, and damage-free material flow in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or manifests; document and report any discrepancies or damage
  • Safely unload, move, and store materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
  • Organize and maintain the warehouse area, including shelving, labeling, inventory locations, and optimizing space utilization
  • Pull, stage, and prepare materials for construction, installation, or distribution teams
  • Perform cycle counts, maintain accurate inventory records, and support inventory reconciliation
  • Ensure proper handling, packaging, and protection of sensitive/high-value equipment
  • Follow all safety protocols, including PPE usage, hazardous material handling (if applicable), and equipment operation standards
  • Assist with shipping, returns, and reverse logistics as needed
  • Collaborate with logistics, facilities, and construction teams to support aggressive project timelines
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with 5S and safety standards
  • Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1+ years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or material handling role (construction or data center environment preferred)
  • Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days) and proven experience operating material handling equipment
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) regularly and perform physical tasks for extended periods
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach for extended periods
  • Willingness to work in a warehouse environment that may include exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and dust
  • Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures
