ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking an experienced Lead, Driver to oversee delivery and material transport operations supporting data center construction and operations in Memphis, TN. In this working-lead role, you will lead a team of drivers responsible for the safe, timely, and damage-free movement of high-value materials and equipment (including servers, networking gear, power systems, cooling infrastructure, and other critical components) between warehouses, vendor sites, and data center locations. You will combine hands-on driving and loading duties with team leadership, route coordination, and compliance oversight in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of drivers; assign routes, provide training, and ensure consistent, safe execution of all transport activities
- Load, drive, and unload materials using commercial vehicles (tractors, trailers, vans, and flatbeds) while meeting all federal, state, and local transportation requirements
- Safely load and unload trucks at pickup and drop-off points, primarily using forklifts; ensure loads are properly secured for undamaged delivery
- Scan barcodes and transact material movements in the WMS/ERP to meet inventory and receiving requirements
- Take route direction from logistics leadership and communicate issues, delays, or exceptions promptly to supervisors and affected teams
- Maintain and review all required delivery documentation; ensure paperwork accuracy and compliance
- Monitor vehicle condition, service records, cleanliness, and fueling; report problems immediately
- Operate Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) and maintain a safe driving record
- Support receiving, material handling, and inventory operations as needed
- Drive process improvements for efficiency, safety, and on-time delivery
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- 3+ years of commercial driving experience (short-haul required; long-haul preferred), including at least 1 year in a lead, senior, or supervisory driving capacity
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, kneel, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Willingness to work in warehouse and outdoor environments that may include varying temperatures, noise, and dust
- Must maintain a clean driving record and comply with all DOT and company safety policies
