Role Overview

The Operations Analyst is a key member of Cisco’s Commerce Operations (CO) organization. CO provides operational engagement and advisory services to customers, distributors, and sales teams across the commerce processes for Cisco’s products, services, and software businesses. Specifically, this role provides dedicated operational support to Sellers and Distributors (Disti) within the Republic of Korea (ROK) region. The Operations Analyst works directly with sales, distribution partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver world-class operations management and advisory services tailored to the ROK market.

Key Responsibilities

Commit Management

  • Attend forecast calls to identify and understand key priorities for the week, month, and quarter.
  • Accountable for weekly commit operationalization, coordinating with cross-functional teams (Sales, Channel, Engineering, Finance, IT, Customer Service) to track progress and drive required actions.
  • Prepare "Sneak Peek" reports for the ROK Theatre and Segment during critical period-ends.

Business Partnership & Advisory

  • Provide field/customer operations advisory, enablement, and change management regarding tools, policies, and processes for ROK-based Sellers and Distributors.
  • Offer supply chain consultation and constraint management with a regional focus.
  • Provide consultation and operational design for complex hardware deals and deal assurance.
  • Manage the quality of bookings and backlog management, including analysis and resolution for ROK accounts.
  • Conduct Stakeholder Operational Business Reviews with Sellers and Distribution partners.
  • Advise sales teams and Distributors on Cisco's crediting and compensation policies, including system-driven rules, bookings policies, offer types, and incentive program changes.
  • Manage escalations, including ownership at the executive level for the ROK region.

Process Improvement & Strategic Growth

  • Proactively identify field and distribution challenges, gather feedback, and ensure closed-loop resolution within the ROK market.
  • Drive process and system automation by submitting change requests and collaborating with IT and process managers through implementation.
  • Drive awareness and adoption of new solutions and enhancements across the ROK partner ecosystem.
  • Commit to continuous self-learning, particularly regarding new business consumption models, software, and acquisitions.

 

Qualifications

Education & Language

  • Degree: BA/BS degree or equivalent.
  • Experience: 7+ years of related experience.
  • Certification: Project Management Certificate is a plus.
  • Language: Proficient in written and spoken English and Korean.

Experience & Skills

  • Knowledge of End-to-End (E2E) operational processes.
  • Experience working within a channel business structure, specifically supporting Distributors (Disti) and direct sales teams.
  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional and/or regional initiatives within the ROK market.
  • Experience leading change management in environments undergoing significant business transformation.
  • Advantageous Experience: Cisco ordering/technology knowledge (Product, Services, or Software), Sales Operations (IT/Sales environment), Partner Programs (incentives, pricing, rebates), and Software Operations/Enterprise Agreement deal structures.
  • AI Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity; experience developing basic AI solutions is highly desirable.
  • IT Foundation: Solid understanding of IT principles and infrastructure; programming knowledge is an advantage.
