Summary:
As a Database Administrator, a typical day involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust database systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The role includes installing database management systems and developing comprehensive procedures to support daily maintenance activities. Problem resolution is a key focus, requiring proactive monitoring and timely intervention to address any issues that arise. Collaboration with various teams to align database operations with organizational goals is also an integral part of the daily routine, ensuring seamless data management and accessibility.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Oversee the implementation of best practices for database security and data integrity.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize database performance and scalability.
- Mentor junior team members to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Apache Cassandra.
- Experience in database installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery techniques.
- Ability to monitor database performance and tune systems for optimal efficiency.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation to streamline database operations.
- Understanding of data replication and clustering concepts within distributed databases.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Apache Cassandra.
- This position is based at our Hyderabad office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
