Amazon Web Services (AWS) serves millions of customers in more than 190 countries, reshaping the way global enterprises accelerate business capabilities using information technology and powering the next generation of global industry leaders. Would you like to be part of a team focused on helping customers realize new value by transforming how they discover, develop, and deliver life-changing therapies and precision medicine?

AWS is seeking a Worldwide (WW) Partner Growth Specialist to accelerate our Life Sciences partner ecosystem across the full biopharma value chain — from genomic discovery and drug development through clinical trials, manufacturing, regulatory, and commercialization. This role is part of the Partner Growth & Strategy (PG&S) organization, which operates a dual motion model: Depth (deep engagement with named strategic partners) and Growth (scaling the broader ecosystem to drive net-new capability, revenue, and customer outcomes).

This is not a follow-the-playbook role. You will be building the growth engine for Life Sciences partners( Consulting and Technology) in a team that formed in 2026 and is actively defining its operating model. The strategy is clear — proactively sense demand, recruit the right partners, co-invest in capability, land with anchor customers, and scale — but how you execute will be shaped by your judgment, industry instinct, and ability to navigate ambiguity across a matrixed organization. If you need every process documented before you act, this is not the right fit. If you energize at the intersection of industry depth, partner economics, and senior leader influence — and you are comfortable being the one who writes the playbook — this is for you.

Key job responsibilities
Demand Signal Identification & Alignment
- Proactively identify, validate, and align industry demand signals across AWS , Industry & Specialist (I&S), Industry BUs, market trends, and key partners. Translate converging forces (agentic AI, federated data, precision medicine, regulatory change) into actionable partner investment theses that connect partner capability to customer urgency.
Plan Partner Capability — Recruit, Win P&L Owners, Co-Invest
- Identify and recruit the right partners to across the Life Sciences portfolio (9 solution areas ). Build executive-level relationships with partner P&L owners. Structure and execute co-investment in net-new capability, offerings, and solutions — from GSIs building agentic platforms to niche ISVs delivering specialized R&D tools.
Drive Revenue — GTM Packages, Anchor Customers, Field Handover
- Deliver and Guide end-to-end GTM packages: from solution definition and reference architectures through anchor customer engagements. Land lighthouse wins, then scale through campaigns, AWS Marketplace listings, and an agentic context/findability layer for field teams. Hand over successfully launched solutions to Partner Development Specialists/Managers for ongoing management.
Portfolio Management — Lifecycle, Relevance & Revenue
- Own the ongoing lifecycle of partner solutions in the Life Sciences portfolio. Monitor relevance, quality bar adherence, revenue contribution (LARR, pipeline, GenAI LARR), and APT attach rates. Make invest/scale/retire decisions using data. Ensure operational hygiene( AWS Solution Repository) so solutions are findable by field teams.
AWS Applied AI Service Interlock
- Serve as the industry connective tissue between AWS Applied AI services (Amazon Bio Discovery, HealthOmics, HealthLake, HealthImaging, Connect Health) and the partner ecosystem. Ensure partner build readiness for newly launched services, escalate feature requests, and champion partner integration as the last-mile for customer adoption.
Competency & Quality Bar Ownership
- Own Life Sciences Competency bar-raiser standards and Alchemy(AWS Internal solun. repository) quality gates. Validate partner offerings meet technical and industry requirements. Ensure the right partners are findable, qualified, and recommended to customers by field teams and agentic systems.
Scale Beyond Direct Coverage
- Design and execute mechanisms to extend impact from ~92 directly managed partners to 10,000+ through programmatic motions: Marketplace, field campaigns, startup/VC partner pathways, and agentic findability. Build self-service enablement that reduces dependence on direct human coverage for the long tail of the ecosystem.

A day in the life
In this role, a typical week might include: facilitating an Executive Briefing Center (EBC) session between a top pharma account and a GSI partner; pressure-testing a partner's agentic AI solution demo with specialist SAs; presenting a partner investment thesis to HCLS IBU leadership; recruiting a niche ISV into the Bio Discovery partner ecosystem; and troubleshooting a metadata/tagging gap that is blocking field findability for a high-value solution. No two weeks look the same — and that is intentional.
