The team is responsible for growing and deepening relationships with some of the largest and most sophisticated financial institutions across the EMEA region. Working in close partnership across the BlackRock business and within Senior Leadership, the team focuses on creating strategic opportunities, delivering long-term client value, and driving accelerated commercial growth.

This Director will lead a team responsible for engagement and growth within a portfolio of the firm’s most strategic clients and prospects, developing enterprise relationships, coordinating resources across the organization, and helping clients realize greater value from Preqin’s capabilities as part of BlackRock.

Your Role and Impact
As a Director within the EMEA Sales organization, you will be responsible for originating, developing and closing strategic opportunities with some of the region’s largest asset managers, asset owners, wealth managers, banks, insurers and professional services firms.

You will act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, helping them address challenges across fundraising, deal sourcing, portfolio management, benchmarking, risk management and private markets research. Success in this role requires strong commercial acumen, executive presence and the ability to navigate complex organizations while bringing together expertise from across Preqin and BlackRock.

A key aspect of the role is collaborating internally across Sales, Client Services, Product, Marketing, Aladdin, eFront and senior leadership teams to deliver coordinated client outcomes and maximize enterprise opportunities.

Your Responsibilities
In every role at BlackRock, you’ll be expected to apply sound judgement and critical thinking to solve complex problems, adapt as the business evolves, and combine the curiosity to explore new approaches and technologies with the rigor to challenge the results.

The scope of this role also includes the following responsibilities:

• Develop and execute account strategies for a portfolio of the largest and most strategic clients and prospects across EMEA.
• Build and maintain senior relationships with key decision-makers, influencers and executive sponsors within client organizations.
• Identify, originate and progress complex enterprise sales opportunities while driving predictable pipeline growth and commercial outcomes.
• Lead your team, engaging on Preqin’s private markets data, analytics and workflow solutions, positioning the broader BlackRock ecosystem where appropriate.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Product, Client Services, Marketing, Aladdin and eFront to deliver a seamless client experience and maximize account penetration.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to align client needs, strategic priorities and go-to-market execution across the business.
• Act as the voice of the client internally, providing feedback on market trends, competitive developments and product requirements.
• Drive executive engagement programs, including C-suite meetings, strategic account reviews and industry events.
• Support expansion opportunities through thoughtful account planning, stakeholder mapping and enterprise relationship development.
• Partner with regional and global leadership to contribute to market strategy, revenue growth and broader business objectives across EMEA.

Your Experience
• Significant experience in enterprise sales, strategic account management or business development within financial data, technology or investment solutions.
• Demonstrated success managing and growing relationships with large, complex institutional clients across EMEA.
• Strong understanding of private markets, investment workflows and the needs of asset managers, asset owners, banks, wealth managers and professional services firms.
• Proven ability to lead large, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and navigate sophisticated buying processes.
• Excellent relationship-building skills with experience engaging senior executives and influencing decision-makers.
• Track record of collaborating effectively across sales, product, client success and marketing teams to deliver commercial outcomes.
• Highly collaborative leadership style with the ability to bring together diverse stakeholders to solve client problems and execute against strategic opportunities.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in pipeline management, forecasting, account planning and revenue growth.
• Experience within financial data, market intelligence, private markets, SaaS or related technology-enabled businesses serving institutional clients.
