The Associate, Americas Immigration (Miami / Berkeley Heights) will play a critical role in helping Blackstone attract and retain top global talent. By delivering exceptional employee support, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely execution of immigration processes, the individual will contribute to the firm's overall compliance, operational excellence, and employee experience.
This role will support the administration of Blackstone's U.S. and Canadian immigration programs. This individual will work closely with employees, recruiters, Human Resources Business Partners, hiring managers, and external immigration counsel to facilitate work authorization and immigration sponsorship processes while ensuring a high level of service and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Immigration Case Management
- Coordinate employment-based immigration matters across a variety of visa categories and permanent residency programs.
- Partner with external immigration counsel to initiate and track immigration filings.
- Gather, review, and organize documentation required for immigration petitions and applications.
- Monitor case progress and proactively communicate important milestones, deadlines, and action items.
- Maintain accurate immigration records and employee files.
Employee & Stakeholder Support
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees with immigration-related questions.
- Provide guidance on immigration processes, timelines, documentation requirements, and firm policies.
- Coordinate with Human Resources Business Partners, Recruiting, and hiring managers regarding sponsorship needs and onboarding requirements.
- Support international hires and internal transfers requiring immigration sponsorship.
Compliance & Program Administration
- Assist with immigration compliance programs, including maintenance of required records and supporting documentation.
- Support Public Access File administration and document retention requirements.
- Monitor visa expiration dates, employment authorization periods, and case milestones.
- Assist with internal audits and compliance reviews.
Reporting & Operations
- Maintain immigration databases and case management systems.
- Prepare routine reports and metrics related to immigration activity and case volumes.
- Track program trends and identify opportunities for operational improvements.
- Support special projects related to immigration, talent mobility, and workforce planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3+ years supporting U.S. business immigration programs in HR, global mobility, immigration law, or professional services.
- Knowledge of U.S. employment-based visas and permanent residency processes; Canadian immigration experience a plus.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience managing multiple immigration cases and partnering with external counsel in fast-paced environments.
- Experience handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Client-focused, proactive, and solutions-oriented team player.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with immigration case management systems and HRIS preferred.
- Thrives in dynamic environments while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness.

Expected annual base salary range:
$105,000 - $130,000Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
