Director, Human Resources – CAD Operations, R&D & Finance


Position Summary

As Director, HR Business Partner, you will serve as the strategic HR partner to the Vice Presidents of Operations, Finance and R&D within the CAD division. Supporting a diverse and complex organization, you will translate business strategy into an integrated people and organization agenda that enables growth, innovation and operational performance.


As a trusted advisor and coach to senior executives, you will bring an independent point of view, constructively challenge thinking and influence decisions related to organization effectiveness, leadership, talent, culture and workforce strategy. You will play a key role in shaping organizational capability and leading the people agenda through business transformation and change.

You will be a member of the respective business leadership teams and a senior member of the CAD HR Leadership Team, partnering broadly across the organization and HR function to deliver business outcomes.


This position reports to the Vice President, HR for CAD and is located at our Tewksbury, MA site.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor and coach to senior executives, providing thought leadership and counsel on business transformation, organization effectiveness, talent strategy, leadership capability, culture and workforce planning.
  • Partner with business leaders to translate strategic priorities into actionable people and organization strategies that strengthen organizational capability and enable business performance.
  • Lead the people and organization agenda for significant business transformation, including organization design, capability shifts, operating model changes and change leadership.
  • Assess organizational and leadership capability and partner with leaders to strengthen succession pipelines, identify critical talent and build differentiated development strategies for key roles and talent.
  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive talent strategies across talent acquisition, development, engagement and retention, working effectively across a highly matrixed global organization.
  • Shape organization design and team effectiveness, helping leaders build high-performing organizations aligned with our 4i Values – Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement.
  • Drive strategic workforce planning, identifying current and future capability requirements and developing strategies to address critical talent and skill needs.
  • Ensure effective execution of core HR processes, including performance management, succession planning, talent reviews and total rewards, with a focus on delivering meaningful business and talent outcomes.
  • Leverage data, insights and strong business acumen to identify organizational opportunities, inform decision-making and measure the impact of people strategies.
  • Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture characterized by engagement, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Partner closely with HR colleagues and Centers of Excellence to deliver integrated HR solutions and ensure alignment of business and enterprise priorities.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Advanced degree plus 6 years of experience (preferred), or bachelor's degree plus 8 years of experience in comprehensive HR experience
  • Significant progressive HR leadership experience, including senior-level HR business partnership within complex, global organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior executives and leadership teams on business strategy, organization effectiveness, talent, leadership and transformation.
  • Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor and coach to senior leaders, with the confidence and judgment to constructively challenge, influence and shape executive decision-making.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the people and organization dimensions of significant business transformation and organizational change.
  • Strong track record in talent management, succession planning, organization design and leadership development.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with demonstrated ability to connect people and organization strategies to business priorities and performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence in a highly matrixed, global organization and build effective partnerships across business, functional and HR leadership teams.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, operations and/or complex technical organizations strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional executive presence, judgment, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility quickly, navigate ambiguity and operate effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $180,000.00–$219,500.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
