Join our team as an Inventory Control Specialist III supporting raw material and component inventory across our Fair Lawn and Bridgewater, New Jersey sites. This onsite role works between both locations and helps ensure inventory accuracy, reliable processes, and continuous improvement across the sites.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor inventory transaction processes to ensure transactions are accurate and timely.
- Lead and coordinate cycle counting and bin checks across raw material and component inventory in a perpetual inventory environment.
- Analyze cycle count results, identify patterns, initiate recounts, and escalate process deviations.
- Reconcile weekly WIP locations and maintain audit-ready records.
- Investigate and document inventory discrepancies using available systems and data to identify root causes and corrective actions.
- Establish, manage, and report daily, weekly, and monthly inventory metrics, including inventory accuracy, cycle count performance, adjustments, discrepancies, and other key performance indicators.
- Analyze inventory performance data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Work cross-functionally with teams at both sites to improve location- and item-level accuracy while supporting operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with established inventory control procedures at the Fair Lawn and Bridgewater sites.
- Monitor transfers between sites and other inventory locations to ensure accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
- Resolve inventory issues involving receiving, accounting, and item movement.
- Prepare and present inventory performance reports to management and site leaders, highlighting key issues, trends, and recommended corrective actions.
- Support inventory improvement initiatives that advance accuracy, efficiency, and sustainability.
- Work onsite between the Fair Lawn and Bridgewater locations, based on business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in Inventory Management, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred
- At least 5 years of overall experience, with 2 years in inventory control
- Solid understanding of inventory control principles and standard methodologies.
- APICS certification preferred.
- Proficiency with ERP systems.
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with data or reporting tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and balance multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent math skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as required.
- Ability to work onsite across the Fair Lawn and Bridgewater, New Jersey sites.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in New Jersey is $81,800.00–$109,100.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
