Role Summary

At Pfizer, breakthroughs change patients' lives. In Specialty Care that means people living with rare and serious conditions, from ATTR amyloidosis and hemophilia to atopic dermatitis and vitiligo. Our Integrated Insights & Strategy (IIS) team turns data into the decisions that help these medicines reach the patients who need them, powered by a proprietary, AI-enabled analytics stack few commercial teams can match. As a strategist on IIS, you will turn evidence into the strategy that grows these brands.

Pfizer's Specialty Care Integrated Insights & Strategy (IIS) team is seeking a Senior Manager, Integrated Insights & Strategy who both derives insight and shapes strategy for a priority Specialty Care brand or portfolio. Reporting to the IIS TA Lead, this role generates primary and secondary insights, connects them with analytics, and synthesizes them into clear recommendations that support brand strategy.

Working across both the insight-derivation and strategy sides of the brand, the Senior Manager supports strategic thought partnership to brand marketing and sales teams, helping frame business questions and answering them with rigorous research and analysis. They design and execute primary market research to represent the voice of the customer, integrate it with secondary and performance data, and translate the result into actionable recommendations, using IIS-built capabilities.

The ideal candidate is a rising brand consultant with a proven track record of framing problems and delivering solutions for challenging business situations. They pair in-depth knowledge of multiple analytic disciplines, including primary and secondary research, with a keen understanding of what strong, timely insight derivation looks like. Their team orientation, collaborative approach, and outstanding listening skills, along with their ability to manage through influence, let their exceptional intellectual and analytical curiosity shine. A refined executive presence, strong storytelling, and excellent verbal and written communication drive their success and their ability to influence and drive change across the organization.

Why IIS: What You'll Gain

  • Work at the frontier of AI in commercial analytics. You will use and help shape IIS-built tools like ORBIT (our subnational performance platform) and AnalogueOS (our AI analogue-matching engine), and build the AI fluency that is fast becoming the most valuable skill in the field.
  • A clear path forward. IIS runs a recognized individual-contributor career track from Senior Manager toward Director-level strategist roles, where you advance through craft and impact, and your work directly informs the decisions brand leaders make.
  • A real seat at the table. You will partner with brand and sales teams and senior leaders as a trusted thought partner rather than an order-taker.
  • A culture built on curiosity. We reward the sharper question, out-of-the-box thinking, and genuine intellectual partnership over order-taking.

Role Responsibilities

Insight Generation & Derivation

  • Design and execute best-in-class primary market research to represent the voice of the customer, creating learning plans that address the brand's key business questions and delivering clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Integrate primary research with secondary and performance data (claims, specialty pharmacy, CRM, and real-world data) to build a complete picture of market dynamics and customer behavior.
  • Develop and monitor key performance metrics to evaluate marketing-campaign effectiveness, evaluate campaign assets, and recommend improvements and corrective actions.
  • Manage market research initiatives and associated budget on assigned brands, ensuring timely, high-quality insight delivery.

Brand Strategy Support

  • Support strategic thought partnership to brand marketing and sales teams, helping frame, investigate, and answer key business questions on commercial strategy, tactics, and investment decisions.
  • Support patient-journey-based business reviews tied to budgetary goals, surfacing performance opportunities and ideas for optimization.
  • Proactively identify business questions and frame solutions that unlock brand value and inform short- and long-term change.
  • Connect research and analytics into a compelling, persuasive story, and deliver clear recommendations to brand leadership.

Performance, Forecasting & Operating-Plan Support

  • Deliver brand performance measurement and reporting (Control Rooms, ATCs) and contribute to QBRs using IIS models and dashboards.
  • Support the development of Long-Range Forecasts (LRFs) and Operating Plans in partnership with US, Global, and Forecasting CoE colleagues, including epi- and trend-based models.
  • Provide regular assessments of brand performance to leadership, clearly articulating the data and what it means for the business.

Collaboration & Influence

  • Integrate insights across cross-functional analytics teams (data science, market research, analytics engineering, and media), and advance the use of novel data sources including real-world data.
  • Communicate complex ideas with a clear, compelling narrative supported by data, navigating the matrix to align stakeholders and drive change.
  • Contribute to team capabilities through knowledge sharing, and mentor junior colleagues.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Marketing, Psychology, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field required.
  • 6+ years in consulting, finance, or market analytics.
  • 3+ years developing data-driven brand strategy for major, high-value assets, ideally at a US and/or Global level.
  • In-depth knowledge of multiple analytic disciplines, including primary and secondary data, with a keen understanding of output and quality, timely insight derivation.
  • Hands-on experience designing and executing primary market research and translating it into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience integrating commercial data sources such as claims, specialty pharmacy, CRM, and real-world data.
  • Exceptional intellectual and analytical curiosity; a creative problem-solver who fosters innovation.
  • Team orientation and collaborative approach, with outstanding listening skills and the ability to manage through influence.
  • Proven ability to be a trusted thought partner and to influence without authority.
  • Refined executive presence with excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS or MBA in a relevant field.
  • Prior experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences commercial analytics, including specialty channels, forecasting, market insights, and promotional performance.
  • Hands-on familiarity with AI tools in commercial settings, including LLMs, decision-support applications, or analytics platforms.
  • Familiarity with Pfizer GCA capabilities (QBR, OAE, Growth Blueprint) or comparable commercial analytics methodologies.

Organizational Relationships

  • Brand Marketing leaders and teams.
  • Commercial Sales; the Customer Engagement Platform (CEP).
  • IIS and Commercial Analytics peers: Market Research, Data Science, Commercial Excellence, and the Forecasting CoE.
  • Cross-functional partners: Chief Marketing Office, Finance, DBO, Medical, Business Assessment, and Commercial Operations.

Financial Accountability

  • May manage market research budget and analytics contract resources on assigned initiatives.

  • Individual contributor role with no direct reports.
  • Mentors junior analysts and manages contingent workers on assigned projects as appropriate.

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
