Role Summary
Pfizer's Specialty Care Integrated Insights & Strategy (IIS) team is seeking a Director, Field & Account Strategy: a senior individual contributor who drives field and account strategy across the Specialty Care portfolio through the insights and analytics that inform it. Sitting within the Customer Strategy team and aligned to the US Commercial customer-engagement organization, this above-brand role frames the field and account business problems, delivers the analyses that answer them, and enables executional excellence across customer-facing teams.
The Director is a trusted thought partner to sales leadership, National Sales Directors, the Customer Engagement Platform (CEP), and key and national account teams, translating field execution, account performance, and customer intelligence into analyses that sharpen deployment, targeting, and account strategy. As a portfolio-level, above-brand capability, the role also holds the institutional knowledge and continuity that keep the field and account partnership strong across brands and across cycles. They bring these questions to life with IIS-built AI-powered tools and personally deliver the high-quality, timely insight that moves decisions.
The ideal candidate is a proactive brand consultant with a proven record of framing, designing, and delivering analytic solutions to challenging business situations. They pair in-depth command of multiple analytic disciplines with a sharp sense of what strong, timely insight looks like, and they bring exceptional intellectual and analytical curiosity, a spirit of innovation, and out-of-the-box thinking that drives competitive advantage. Role Responsibilities
Field Enablement & Execution Effectiveness
- In partnership with National Sales Directors and franchise leadership, design and continuously refine a field alert strategy that delivers real-time, data-driven signals to field-based, customer-facing colleagues through various tools.
- Evaluate alert performance and patient signals, and iterate on business rules to maximize commercial relevance and rep adoption.
- Partner with Enablement, CRM, Brand, Operations, and Technology teams to inform tools and capabilities that improve executional excellence, precision targeting, and field effectiveness, and recommend improvements based on measured impact.
Field Force Sizing, Structure & Deployment
- Conduct the analysis that informs sales-force size, structure, territory alignment, resource allocation, and deployment for the brand's field-based colleagues.
- Use advanced analytics to assess sales-force effectiveness and recommend actionable improvements to sales leadership.
Account & Customer Analytics
- Serve as the analytics partner to account teams, delivering account-level insights on market dynamics, growth potential, and competitive activity at key accounts.
- Provide the analytics that support Key Account Directors and National Account Directors, including performance metrics, market-potential assessments, and competitive dynamics reviews.
- Inform integrated account planning and customer segmentation with rigorous analysis.
Partnership & Collaboration
- Bring rigor and momentum to cross-functional work, mobilizing partners through clear framing and the quality of the thinking rather than formal authority.
- Build analytics fluency across sales and account partners, and mentor and share best practices with junior IIS colleagues.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Analytics, Statistics, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field required.
- 8+ years of experience in commercial analytics, commercial strategy, management consulting, or a combination thereof.
- Demonstrated track record of high-value, proactive brand consultancy: framing, designing, and delivering analytic solutions for challenging and ambiguous business situations.
- In-depth command of multiple analytic disciplines, with a keen sense of what strong, timely, and high-quality insight looks like.
- Exceptional intellectual andanalytical curiosity, a spirit of innovation, and out-of-the-box thinking, with a bias toward proactively surfacing the sharper question and the next opportunity.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with both marketing and sales or field organizations, and translating brand strategy into marketing and field analytics and recommendations.
- Experience with field-effectiveness and account analytics, including familiarity with field-force sizing and structure, territory alignment and deployment, CRM, and customer or account planning.
- Experience integrating and interpreting commercial data sources such as claims, specialty pharmacy, CRM, market access, account, and performance data.
- Demonstrated ability to move cross-functional work forward and drive alignment across senior stakeholders through influence rather than formal authority.
- Outstanding listening and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and elevate the quality of decisions.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the presence to partner credibly with senior brand and portfolio leaders.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Prior experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences commercial analytics, including specialty channels, forecasting, market insights, and promotional performance frameworks.
- Familiarity with field enablement and alerting tools (e.g., PinPoint) and with sales-force effectiveness methodologies.
- Hands-on familiarity with AI tools in commercial settings, including LLMs, decision-support applications, or analytics platforms.
- Familiarity with Pfizer GCA capabilities (QBR, OAE, Growth Blueprint) or comparable commercial analytics methodologies.
Organizational Relationships
- Sales Leadership and National Sales Directors; the Customer Engagement Platform (CEP).
- Account teams: Key Account Directors and National Account Directors.
- Cross-functional partners: Chief Marketing Office, Finance, DBO, S&C, Medical, and Commercial Operations.

Financial Accountability
- May manage project-level spend for primary market research and analytics vendors on assigned initiatives.
People Leadership
- Individual contributor role with no direct reports.
- Mentors and guides junior analysts and manages contingent workers on assigned projects as appropriate.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $162,900.00 to $271,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
