As a Technical Business Developer II at Amazon, you will manage and grow relationships with customers and partners, executing go-to-market programs and delivering tailored engagements that help them succeed. You will collaborate across cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, negotiate with external stakeholders, and refine the playbooks that power our business development motions. This role offers you the chance to sharpen your commercial instincts, deepen your cloud computing knowledge, and contribute directly to initiatives that shape how Amazon delivers value at scale.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage relationships with existing customers and partners using established playbooks and cadences such as portfolio reviews, owning all aspects of content delivery in both one-to-one and one-to-many engagement formats.
- Negotiate terms with external partners, evaluate program effectiveness, and provide actionable input on how to improve engagement outcomes and deliver greater value to customers.
- Collaborate within cross-functional teams spanning business development, sales, solutions architecture, and product to execute go-to-market motions and drive measurable results.
- Conduct market research and apply business acumen to identify opportunities for growth, track pipeline health, and contribute insights that inform strategic decisions visible in organizational business reviews.
- Identify and implement best practices from across teams, refine operational playbooks, and recommend improvements to tracking and reporting mechanisms that strengthen execution.
A day in the life
You might start your morning preparing for a portfolio review with a key partner, ensuring your data and talking points are sharp. By midday, you could be leading a program engagement session with a customer, translating technical capabilities into business value. In the afternoon, you collaborate with your cross-functional team to assess what is working in current motions and flag areas that need adjustment. Throughout it all, you exercise strong judgment, knowing when to pull in a specialist resource and when to escalate.
