Mazeres Sur Salat plant offers filters for use in the manufacturing of biopharmaceutical and medical technologies, microelectronics and food and beverage products. This role serves as the Site Lead for Mazeres, with full accountability for site performance, culture, safety, compliance, and financial results. This is a quality engineer for driving quality systems processes and operational excellence in the Filtration & Separation Division.
DESCRIPTION
- Partner with Global Quality Management System Quality team, Supplier Quality team and drive plant alignment across QMS process requirements.
- Own the execution and continuous improvement of site Quality System processes, including CAPA, deviations, document control, training, internal audits, and Management Review, ensuring ongoing compliance and audits readiness.
- Lead new quality tools deployment on the plant and make sure they're maintained (admin profile).
- Represent the site during internal, customer and ISO audits, ensuring timely and effective responses to audit observations.
- Promote a proactive quality culture by influencing cross-functional teams, coaching quality best practices, and fostering accountability across the organization.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or related scientific discipline.
- Advanced Degree with no prior experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of quality assurance experience preferably in medical devices, pharmaceuticals or biotechnology
Experience:
- 3+ years of Quality system management experience in the food or pharmaceutical industry.
- Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining Quality Management Systems including knowledge of ISO 9001 and Risk Management.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build consensus and collaborate across functions
- Foreign language skills beneficial (English)
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in team environments
- Ability to prioritize effectively
- Audit readiness and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with global quality teams, supplier quality organizations and manufacturing team.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and lead initiatives without direct authority. Cross-functional collaboration and influence.
- Experience leading Quality System processes, including CAPA, audits, documentation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with PLM, ERP, eQMS, document management systems, SharePoint, or quality records platforms
- Strong ability to interpret quality requirements and convert them into practical documentation and governance processes
