As a DevOps Cloud Engineering Consultant you will support the design, implementation, and operation of secure, scalable, and automated cloud solutions utilizing Microsoft Azure technologies. Working as part of a DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure team, this role partners with customers, systems integrators, architects, and engineers to modernize infrastructure, automate deployment processes, and accelerate cloud adoption in classified and regulated environments.
The consultant contributes to cloud platform engineering initiatives through Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD automation, container orchestration, and cloud operations while ensuring solutions align with security, compliance, and operational requirements.

Responsibilities
TECHNICAL DELIVERY
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Bicep, ARM templates, and Azure-native services.
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (ADO).
- Deploy, configure, and support Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerized workloads.
- Support cloud migration and infrastructure modernization activities.
- Implement and maintain Azure platform services including Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Azure DNS, Azure Firewall, and Azure networking solutions.
- Configure and support identity and access management solutions using Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve cloud infrastructure, platform, and deployment issues.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver secure, compliant, and scalable solutions.
- Participate in Agile and DevOps practices including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and continuous improvement activities.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, implementation guides, and operational procedures.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business, or related field AND 1+ year(s) work experience in relevant area of business
- OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements
- The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret /SCI Security Clearance. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required pre-offer and post-hire for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate U.S. Government clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years work experience in relevant area of business.
- Technical certifications based on domain/service line (e.g., Azure, Security, Dynamics).
- Delivery Management certification (e.g., Scrum, Agile, Change Management, Project Management).
- Experience deploying, and optimizing Azure solutions, including:
- Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
- Azure DevOps (ADO) Server and CI/CD automation
- Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Containers and container orchestration platforms
- Azure DNS
- Azure Firewall
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Conditional Access
- Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
Technology Consulting IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $77,900 - $156,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $100,800 - $169,200 per year.
