RESOURCES INDUSTRY INTERNSHIP
Job description
Join us in helping leading organizations across utilities, chemicals and natural resources turn their challenges into practical opportunities. The resources landscape is transforming rapidly, driven by the energy transition, decarbonization, digitalization, evolving regulation and new technologies. If you are curious, solution-oriented and ready to learn by doing in an international environment, this internship is your opportunity to contribute to the industries shaping a more sustainable future.
Your job
- Contribute to real client challenges and help translate business needs into pragmatic solutions for organizations across utilities, chemicals and natural resources.
- Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to analyse complex business and industry challenges, shape recommendations and support the design or implementation of solutions.
- Build hands-on experience through research, data analysis, assessments, workshops, business cases, forecasting or client-ready deliverables, depending on your assignment.
- Discover the breadth of the Resources industry - from the energy transition and decarbonization to operational transformation, digitalization and the future of utilities, chemicals and natural resources.
The types of projects you could work on
Your assignment will depend on your interests, skills and the opportunities within the team. You could contribute to projects such as:
- Supporting forecasting and planning challenges in the utilities sector, for example by analysing data and developing insights to help an electricity grid operator anticipate future capacity or demand needs.
- Contributing to decarbonization projects by researching market developments, assessing business opportunities and helping an energy company shape solutions for its business customers.
- Exploring eMobility use cases in an ecosystem of electricity grid operators and other market players, including market research, stakeholder analysis and the development of business models or recommendations.
- Helping clients in chemicals or natural resources respond to industry transformation, for example through strategy, operational improvement, digitalization or sustainability-related initiatives.
- Researching an emerging industry topic - such as the energy transition, AI, circularity or new technologies - and translating your findings into clear insights and client-ready recommendations.
Whatever the topic, you will be supported by experienced colleagues and given the opportunity to take ownership of a meaningful outcome.
Your team
Our Resources practice supports clients operating across energy, utilities, chemicals and natural resources, from electricity, gas and water companies to organizations in chemicals, mining and materials.
You will be part of a close-knit local team connected to a global community. We combine meaningful work with a strong team spirit through regular practice events, informal gatherings and shared learning moments. Experienced colleagues will coach you, while giving you the trust and space to contribute your own ideas and deliver visible outcomes.
Your background
- You are curious about the energy transition, utilities, the chemical industry and natural resources.
- You enjoy solving problems, asking thoughtful questions and turning analysis into clear recommendations.
- You are eager to learn new methodologies, processes, technologies and industry topics.
- You collaborate well in diverse teams and communicate with clarity and confidence.
- You are fluent in English and Dutch or French, with a working knowledge of the other national language.
- You are completing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any field and expect to graduate in 2027.
- You are available for a 12–15 week internship. Most internships take place during the second semester of the academic year, but other periods can be discussed.
Our offer
This is more than an internship - it is an opportunity to discover the Resources industry from the inside. You will work on meaningful challenges, learn from experienced colleagues and build an understanding of sectors that are central to the energy transition and the wider economy. Expect hands-on experience, room to grow and a team that celebrates success together.
Besides our high-profile, challenging projects and our nurturing work environment, we offer excellent benefits, including:
- Meaningful client work with coaching from consulting and industry experts
- Structured coaching and continuous learning to grow your technical, consulting and business skills
- The freedom to explore different sides of the Resources industry and discover the topics and types of work that excite you most
- A close-knit team that makes time for practice events, informal get-togethers and shared moments beyond the day-to-day work
- An inspiring, eco-friendly workplace at Tour & Taxis
- The possibility to continue your journey with us after graduation, depending on opportunities and mutual fit
