Job Description


The Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) supports the Analytical Instrumentation business of Thermo Fisher Scientific in Israel. This technology-focused commercial role is responsible for selling and supporting instruments and consumables while partnering with sales colleagues to develop new and existing accounts. The TSS drives customer engagement and the Thermo Fisher value proposition, from sample to knowledge, supporting opportunities from prospecting through deal closure.


Key Responsibilities


Selling Agility

  • Identify and develop new opportunities to grow sales and expand market penetration.
  • Partner with Account Managers to uncover opportunities, shape strategies, and advance deals.
  • Build trusted relationships with key decision makers and position Thermo Fisher solutions effectively.

Results Leadership

  • Drive pipeline development, forecasting, and execution to achieve territory sales targets.
  • Translate customer needs into compelling value propositions and support product adoption.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends, competitors, and new product opportunities.

Team & Account Leadership

  • Operate within a Key Account team model, collaborating with internal experts to deliver customer solutions.
  • Build relationships with KOLs and scientific leaders and represent Thermo Fisher in technical engagements and events.

Technical Expertise

  • Provide deep technical knowledge of advanced analytical instrumentation solutions and coordinate with application and service specialists.
  • Support training and knowledge sharing to strengthen technical selling capabilities across the sales team.


Requirements


  • 5+ years of relevant sales, product, application, or technical-commercial experience in analytical instrumentation or related scientific markets, preferably supporting complex and high-value solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Strong understanding of industry markets, trends, and customer needs.
  • Ability to translate technical product capabilities into customer value.

Proven ability to present, conduct seminars, and communicate complex technical solutions.

  • Strong commercial mindset with a track record of winning new business.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience working successfully in a matrix sales organization.
  • Fluent Hebrew and English required;
  • Willingness to travel extensively to customers’ locations (up to ~80%).
