During your placement as Procurement Intern you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for all procurement activities (e.g. category planning, sourcing, contracting, supplier management) supporting BMS Cruiserath biopharmaceutical manufacturing site. 

Aspects of the role include: Participation in various projects, data and systems access, approval and maintenance. This is a business critical and business enablement function for site operations that requires strong ability to manage multiple, shifting priorities on a daily basis. This role is a key support role to the site procurement function.

Activities you will be involved in include: 

• Data validation and maintenance for pricing file, SAP Contracts & Info Records.  

• Requisition process - Approval of all purchase requisitions. 

• New Vendor creations/vendor changes. 

• Purchase Order maintenance including price changes and PO closures. 

• Coordinate team Training and facilitate department Standard Operating Procedures. 

• Assist in the management and processing of all purchase to pay issues and invoice resolution activities. 

• Active participation in multi-disciplined cross-functional site project teams (Dual Sourcing, New Product Introduction, Buyer Portal, Continuous Improvement projects) and forums. 

• Assist team with data preparation for supplier reviews, and participate and present at supplier meetings. 

• Complete Opex training and deliver a project using Opex principles  

• Preparation for weekly team Huddle meeting 

• Optimisation of Dept. SharePoint, Tableau dashboards, and smart digital processes 

• Report on diverse & preferred and develop Environmental scorecard 

• Complete various mandatory and optional training courses to expand knowledge and skills

• Passionate about the biopharma sector and innovation in healthcare

Compensation Overview:

Pay for this internship/co‑op position is provided in accordance with local market practices and applicable laws. Pay may be offered as an hourly rate and/or monthly stipend, or other locally compliant structure. Pay is determined based on objective factors such as academic level, relevant experience, skills, and work location.

Interns and co‑op participants may be eligible for limited benefits depending on program structure, work location, and local requirements. Eligibility and offerings are governed by applicable policies and employment regulations.

This is a temporary, time‑bound position intended for the duration of the internship or co‑op program and does not guarantee continued or permanent employment following program completion.
