We are looking for a Material Handler to join our team in Oslo and support important logistics activities. In this hands-on role, you will help ensure that samples and materials are handled and shipped safely, accurately, and on time, supporting the successful delivery of key business milestones.

How will you make an impact?

As a Material Handler, you will play an important role in ensuring sufficient capacity for sample handling and shipments while supporting the setup of new suppliers and raw materials.

A key focus of the role will be organizing and executing international sample shipments from Norway to the United States. Through accurate and efficient logistics operations, you will help prevent supply- and logistics-related delays and keep critical activities moving forward.

What will you do?

• Organize and execute international sample shipments from Norway to the United States

• Coordinate daily logistics and material-handling activities

• Receive, store, pick, pack, and ship materials safely and accurately

• Handle a variety of materials, including scientific products, hazardous materials, and temperature-controlled items

• Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation

• Support the setup of new suppliers and raw materials from a logistics perspective

• Ensure shipments and warehouse activities comply with applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements

• Support other logistics and warehouse activities as needed

• Contribute to continuous improvement and efficient ways of working

What will you need?

• Experience in warehouse, logistics, material handling, shipping, or a related environment

• Forklift certification and experience operating relevant warehouse equipment

• Good computer skills and experience with warehouse management and/or ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle

• Knowledge of inventory management and warehouse safety practices

• Strong attention to detail and good organizational and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role, including lifting and moving items up to approximately 23 kg (50 lbs) and working in different temperature environments

• Proficiency in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken

Experience or certification in hazardous materials handling and shipping, such as IATA, IMDG, or DOT, is considered an advantage. Experience with Lean, 5S, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies is also beneficial.

A valid driver's license and clean driving record may be required depending on the activities performed in the role.
