Senior Manager, Finance

About the role

Disney is seeking a commercially minded and strategic Senior Manager, Finance to serve as a key Finance partner to the Consumer Products team in Korea. The role will provide financial leadership and strategic direction to support sustainable growth, business performance and key commercial decisions. The successful candidate will combine strong financial expertise with commercial acumen, sound judgment and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across local, regional and global teams.

What you'll do

• Serve as the senior Finance lead for the Korea Consumer Products business, acting as a trusted advisor to local commercial leadership and an active member of the broader Greater China and Korea and APAC Finance organization.
• Partner with leaders to shape business strategy, identify growth opportunities and provide financial leadership on key commercial decisions.
• Lead the financial planning and performance management agenda, including quarterly forecasts, annual planning and long-range financial planning.
• Drive business performance by identifying key drivers, risks and opportunities and translating financial insights into clear recommendations and actions.
• Evaluate new business opportunities, projects and strategic initiatives through financial modelling, scenario analysis and commercial assessment.
• Provide strategic challenge and thought leadership to management, balancing growth opportunities, financial returns and business risks.
• Build finance capability by coaching team members and business partners, promoting knowledge sharing and fostering a culture of commercial curiosity, continuous learning and innovation.
• Drive effective resource allocation and identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency and long-term business value.
• Oversee financial reporting, closing activities and finance systems, and champion the use of modern analytics, automation and AI-enabled solutions to improve the quality, speed and scalability of financial insights.
• Lead continuous improvement across planning, reporting and decision-support processes, simplifying ways of working and reducing manual effort through standardization, automation and scalable data solutions.
• Partner across Korea, Greater China and APAC Finance teams to share insights, leverage regional capabilities and contribute to cross-market initiatives and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, Business Finance or a similar leadership role.
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic mindset, with the ability to connect financial performance with broader business priorities.
• Proven track record of influencing and advising senior business leaders on strategic, commercial and financial decisions.
• Strong analytical, financial modelling, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Korean.
• Strong Excel, financial modelling and analytical skills, with the ability to structure complex data and translate it into clear commercial insights.
• Experience with enterprise finance systems and modern business intelligence or data-visualization platforms, such as SAP, Power BI, Tableau or equivalent solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to improve finance processes through technology, automation, standardization or self-service analytics.
• Strong curiosity regarding emerging finance technologies, including AI, and the judgment to apply them responsibly and effectively.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in consumer products, retail, media, entertainment, licensing or another consumer-facing business is strongly preferred.
