Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager, Issuing & RAS Value Added Services Seller, part of the larger Value-Added Services Sales function in West Central Africa. Internally, the role requires collaboration with a wide range of cross functional teams, including but is not limited to Generalist Sellers, Sales Operations, Product, Sales Engineering, Strategy, Client Services, Digital Partners, and Marketing.


Key Responsibilities:       

  • Own and deliver revenue, growth, and retention targets across an assigned portfolio of clients for the Issuing & RAS VAS portfolio.
  • Develop and execute account plans designed to increase adoption, usage, and revenue contribution of Issuing & RAS VAS solutions.
  • Drive cross-sell and upsell opportunities across the full Issuing VAS portfolio within existing client relationships.
  • Maintain executive-level relationships with key client stakeholders and serve as the primary commercial point of contact for Issuing & RAS VAS opportunities.
  • Lead commercial discussions related to solution positioning, pricing, contract renewals, and portfolio expansion.
  • Identify client business needs and align Issuing & RAS VAS solutions to support their strategic objectives.
  • Partner with Account Executives, Product, Client Services, Finance, and Regional teams to accelerate commercialization and client value realization.
  • Monitor account performance, revenue trends, client adoption metrics, and expansion opportunities across the portfolio.
  • Drive retention strategies and ensure the long-term sustainability of Issuing & RAS VAS revenue streams.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts, pipeline visibility, and performance tracking against revenue and AANR objectives.
  • Represent client needs and market insights to support the evolution of the Issuing & RAS VAS portfolio and go-to-market strategy.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Proven experience managing and growing revenue within an assigned client portfolio, with accountability for commercial performance and long-term client value.
  • Strong track record of achieving revenue growth, retention, cross-sell, and upsell objectives within existing client relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience commercializing technology-based solutions, including software, SaaS, data products, analytics, risk solutions, fraud prevention, digital platforms, or other value-added services.
  • Strong understanding of technology solution selling, with the ability to translate complex product capabilities into measurable business outcomes for clients.
  • Experience developing and executing account growth plans to increase adoption, penetration, and commercialization of technology and value-added service solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to expand wallet share and identify new revenue opportunities within an existing portfolio of clients.
  • Strong relationship management skills, with experience building trusted partnerships and engaging senior decision-makers and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience leading commercial discussions related to solution positioning, business cases, pricing, portfolio expansion, contract renewals, and long-term partnership development.
  • Ability to understand client business priorities and align technology solutions to support strategic objectives and business transformation initiatives.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including business case development, opportunity prioritization, forecasting, and revenue management.
  • Experience collaborating across matrixed organizations, partnering with Product, Client Services, Sales, Finance, and Regional stakeholders to accelerate commercialization and client adoption.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify revenue opportunities, client trends, technology adoption patterns, and growth drivers within an assigned portfolio.
  • Experience in payments, financial services, fintech, enterprise software, technology, consulting, data products, risk solutions, or related industries.
  • Knowledge of the payments ecosystem, including issuers, processors, digital banks, fintechs, and emerging financial services providers.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve portfolio revenue, retention, and client engagement targets.
  • Ability to engage both business and technology stakeholders, including product, operations, digital, risk, fraud, technology, and transformation teams.
  • Experience managing the commercialization and expansion of complex technology solutions throughout the client lifecycle, from adoption through long-term growth and renewal.
