Job Description

Execute and review more complex Record-to-Report activities across Inventory, Intercompany, and General Ledger. Ensure the integrity of accounting results by analyzing and resolving issues across interconnected subledger and GL processes. Support close execution, accounting quality, and control compliance within a broader R2R scope. Act as a knowledgeable contributor in resolving non-standard accounting matters and supporting process stability. Bring a proactive digital mindset and curiosity for improvement, contributing to more efficient R2R execution by identifying opportunities to enhance standard processes and reduce manual effort.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Perform and review complex accounting activities across Inventory, Intercompany, and General Ledger.
• Support month-end close and year-end close deliverables and ensure assigned tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Support the preparation and posting of more complex journal entries and accounting corrections.
• Process and verify inventory-related postings, stock movements, and standard reconciliations.
• Support billing and intercompany transactions, including invoice processing, matching, and settlement of routine open items.
• Reconcile complex balance sheet accounts, inventory-related accounts, intercompany balances, and GL accounts, investigating and escalating discrepancies where needed.
• Independent support stakeholders in resolving issues requiring deeper accounting knowledge.
• Analyze and resolve discrepancies between subledger activity, intercompany and inventory balances.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions in line with accounting policies, internal controls, and SLA requirements.
• Provide solid documentation and support for audit and control activities.
• Review accounting treatment for non-standard transactions within the R2R scope.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal and external controls, and close deadlines.
• Contribute to standardization, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement of R2R processes.
• Develop a digital mindset and openness to change by using available systems and tools effectively, while building confidence in identifying simple process improvements within the R2R scope.

CORE ELEMENTS RELATED TO THIS ROLE

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and logic across finance-related areas.
• Several years of experience in R2R, preferably with exposure to Inventory, Intercompany, and General Ledger.
• Several years of professional experience in BPO / Shared Services.
• Blackline, SAP, Excel, Hyperion and reporting tool knowledge.
• Fluent Business English.
• Strong analytical thinking, ownership, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to details, accountability, and resilience under deadlines.
• Stress resistance, discipline, and dedication.
• Ability to handle complexity and support others in day-to-day execution.
• Experience in more complex close, balance sheet review, and other R2R issue resolution. 
• Digital mindset and openness to continuous improvement.
• Customer orientation.

ADDITIONAL EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

• ACCA or similar accounting qualifications would be an advantage.
• IFRS knowledge preferred.
• Experience with JD Edwards C3ME would be an advantage.
• As an added value, skills in creating macros, VBA, Power BI, Power Automate, and RPA.
