Job Description

The Finance Manager, VAS and CMS, is responsible for a broad range of financial planning and analysis activities, including multi-year outlooks, budgeting, reporting, and analysis for Visa's executive leadership.

This Finance Manager role will be heavily involved in preparing internal and external reporting for the VAS and CMS business units. The Finance Manager will partner cross-functionally and globally with regional finance teams to define reporting and disclosure parameters, execute Corporate priorities, and bring financial discipline to the process.

A critical requirement for success in this role is promoting a One Visa mindset across multiple stakeholder groups, encouraging collaboration, and building strong relationships. Strong communication skills will be essential to translate financial outputs into key business insights, constructively challenge stakeholders, and drive tangible benefits.

 

What we expect of you, day to day:

• Support senior Finance leaders across global and regional teams. The role is responsible for delivering the budget, forecast, and multi-year strategic outlook from a Corporate perspective for the VAS and CMS business units, as well as coordinating and consolidating regional submissions.

• Conduct detailed analysis to provide insights and narratives for VAS and CMS revenue, supporting quarterly earnings calls and reporting to the Board of Directors.

• Drive the core FP&A planning agenda, assess the financial and business performance of VAS and CMS, and serve as the primary Corporate FP&A point of contact in coordination with GARP, FSS, Controllership, and regional and global Finance teams.
• Embed P&L thinking into decision-making and provide succinct messaging for the CFO, quantifying the financial impact of risks and opportunities throughout reporting and planning cycles.
• Coordinate inputs from stakeholders for revenue reporting and drive reviews as part of the monthly and quarterly scorecard and business-as-usual cadences.
• Provide timely and accurate financial management reporting, proactively delivering insightful analysis of key trends and identifying key business and financial risks and opportunities, including recommended actions where applicable.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of VAS and CMS business drivers and develop a comprehensive understanding of how they support Visa's overall global business strategy.
• Strengthen collaboration and partnership with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment, synergies, and coordinated execution across groups.
• Deliver a variety of cross-functional and process-enhancement projects in which VAS and CMS FP&A is a key stakeholder, from ideation and planning through execution.

This position is a Hybrid role to be based in our San Francisco, CA office location. Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD.
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with a proactive approach to solving complex business problems through well-structured analyses.
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks effectively, demonstrating good judgment, organizational skills, and flexibility to work independently.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including strong written, oral, listening, and presentation abilities.
• Capable of working well under pressure and interacting at all levels as a thought partner.
• Successful experience in working with large data sets and translating data into actionable insights in a clear and concise manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
• MBA, CFA, or a Qualified Accountant degree (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent local qualifications) is a plus.
• Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Investment Banking, or Consulting

Information for US Applicants

For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $129,200.00 to $ 206,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Travel Requirements

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
