Summary
We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Thin-film /ALD Engineer with a strong background in vacuum systems to lead technical initiatives and process improvements as related to device performance. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring equipment performance, safety compliance, documentation, training and process improvement to help the organization improve.
Description
This is a hands-on role that requires independent judgment, broad engineering insight, and a passion for solving complex equipment and process challenges. The ideal candidate will contribute to continuous improvement, foster a culture of safety and accountability, and bring a deep understanding of both the technical and operational aspects of the job.
Responsibilities
Lead and support equipment engineering activities, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of complex systems
Apply deep expertise in vacuum systems and associated subsystems to support production, R&D, or customer environments
Serve as a technical mentor and resource for engineers and technicians, helping to build a strong, capable team
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on equipment upgrades, process support, and root cause investigations
Drive and support equipment safety programs, ensuring procedures, training, and operations meet all compliance and regulatory requirements

The base pay range for this role is between $184,700 and $324,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
