As demand for cloud and AI services accelerates, delivering infrastructure capacity efficiently and converting it into customer-ready services is one of Microsoft’s most critical business priorities. The Cloud Capacity Delivery & Automation role sits at the center of this challenge, connecting customer demand signals to supply execution, server deployment, go-live readiness, and monetization. We are looking for a Finance Manager - Cloud Capacity Delivery & Automation who is passionate about data, automation, operational excellence, and shaping the future of Microsoft cloud products. 

This is a role for a systems-oriented finance professional who can operate across Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Capacity Planning, and Cloud Operations. The ideal candidate should pair strong finance and business judgment with data fluency, automation mindset, and curiosity about AI infrastructure. The core mission is to drive visibility, automation, and execution excellence across the cloud infrastructure delivery lifecycle, accelerating the path from customer demand to monetizable capacity.

Responsibilities
 

Support Capacity Execution 

  • Partner with Finance, Capacity Planning, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Cloud Operations stakeholders to track infrastructure delivery milestones and execution progress. 

  • Help connect customer demand signals, supply availability, deployment progress, go-live readiness, and monetizable capacity through recurring reporting and analysis. 

  • Identify variances, risks, blockers, and follow-up actions within defined workstreams, escalating issues with clear supporting data. 

Build Reporting, Data, and Automation Solutions 

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical tools that improve visibility into capacity delivery and business performance. 

  • Partner with FD&E, data, and engineering teams to improve data quality, reporting logic, and scalable analytical frameworks. 

  • Use automation and AI-enabled tools to reduce manual reporting effort, streamline recurring processes, and improve reliability of insights. 

Deliver Actionable Business Insights 

  • Analyze operational and financial datasets related to demand planning, supply execution, deployment readiness, utilization, and monetization. 

  • Prepare variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario support to help business partners understand execution performance and tradeoffs. 

  • Translate complex data into clear summaries, recommendations, and decision support for finance and business leaders. 



Qualifications

Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.

Financial Analysis IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $77,800 - $153,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $102,200 - $169,900 per year.
