The IS&T Ops Engineering team is looking for an extraordinary senior solution architect to help lead the design and architecture of our next-gen supply chain planning platforms across Apple.

Description

The IS&T Ops engineering team is looking for an experienced supply chain professional to partner with our Supply Chain Planning teams to drive transformation through process, data and technology solutions. This individual will have the opportunity to work on transformational efforts to improve Apple’s Supply Chain. The ideal candidate will have deep solution and project experience and be self-directed, motivated, and comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced environment. Experience in Demand forecasting, Supply & demand planning, and associated technology is preferred. Flexibility and adaptability are key attributes needed for success. This individual should also have strong analytical, project management and leadership skills to handle a variety of activities and complexities spanning the organization. You are willing to work at both a very detailed and strategic level.

Responsibilities

Act as an advocate for functional teams to define and deliver solution capabilities (requirements, solution design, planning algorithms, user experience, user-testing, etc.) to support the broader Supply Chain planning and optimization solutions
Drive innovative solutions for forecasting and allocation use cases using the latest technologies and AI/ML methods
Act as a liaison between the functional, technical and data science teams to ensure that the designs are complete and met by the proposed technology solutions.
Work with functional stakeholders to define and manage business process and technology roadmaps in support of long-term strategy
Manage the product management processes for planning platforms, including roadmaps, scope management, release management, and interfacing with technical teams across the development and warranty lifecycle
Provide functional subject matter expertise and through leadership to help inspire innovation
Apply analytical skills to rationalize change using the latest AI tools
Define and implement KPIs for operational metrics, identify key success measures for projects being implemented

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required, MS (in relevant fields like Industrial Engineering, Operations Research etc.) or MBA is desired.
8-10 years of global supply chain management experience, preferably in high-tech,  consumer electronics or retail industries
Proven track record of leading strategic programs, combined with the ability to execute at tactical project-level activities and tasks
Broad exposure to supply chain management processes, including demand planning, supply planning, allocation planning, execution as well as collaborative planning processes with upstream and downstream supply chain partners
Strong functional knowledge of supply chain planning and optimization tools embedded with the latest AI/ML methods

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to conceptualize end to end planning solutions that enable planning and collaboration workflows, including capabilities such as embedded analytics and exceptions
Good understanding of Product Management processes for planning solutions, including defining strategic capability roadmaps, scope management, release management, and interfacing with technical teams across the development and warranty lifecycle
Hands on experience with AI tools for creating agents/skills etc to support design and solutions
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to adapt one's style based on the level of the audience
Excellent leadership skills that enhance project team effectiveness
Proven ability to lead teams with or without direct reports; natural leader and motivator, lead through influence
Produces work product of the highest quality with minimal review by supervisor

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $207,400 and $311,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
