Roles and Responsibilities: • • Lead the end-to-end delivery of monthly, quarterly, and year-end balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely completion, accuracy, and compliance with the close calendar. • • Plan and allocate work across the team, set priorities based on risk and materiality, monitor capacity, and remove delivery constraints. • • Review and approve reconciliations, substantiation, ageing, commentary, supporting evidence, and corrective journal entries for complex or high-risk accounts. • • Provide technical guidance on general ledger, sub-ledger, bank, intercompany, accrual, provision, clearing, and other balance sheet reconciliation issues. • • Drive root-cause analysis and resolution of reconciling items; establish action plans, owners, and target dates, and escalate overdue or material exposures. • • Own reconciliation governance, including adherence to accounting policies, materiality thresholds, internal controls, segregation of duties, and audit-trail requirements. • • Track and report operational KPIs, completion status, ageing, exceptions, financial exposure, and control risks to finance leadership and key stakeholders. • • Partner with controllers, account owners, auditors, onshore teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure successful delivery. • • Coach and develop team members through regular feedback, quality reviews, cross-training, knowledge sharing, and performance support. • • Coordinate internal and external audit requirements, provide timely evidence and explanations, and ensure agreed remediation actions are completed. • • Lead standardization, automation, transition, and continuous-improvement initiatives to strengthen controls, reduce recurring exceptions, and improve close-cycle efficiency.
