Join Us as a Clinical Research Patient Phone Recruiter – Make an Impact at the Forefront of Innovation 

 

We're seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Clinical Research Patient Phone Recruiter to join our Clinical Research team. In this role, you'll serve as the first point of contact for prospective clinical trial patients, conducting phone-based pre-screening interviews, collecting and documenting medical information, assessing preliminary eligibility, and scheduling qualified patients for screening and consent appointments. 

This role will have a particular focus on recruiting participants for obesity and weight-management clinical research studies. You'll engage with individuals who may have a wide range of experiences related to weight, metabolic health, and associated health conditions. The ability to approach these conversations with empathy, sensitivity, professionalism, and without judgment will be essential to creating a positive patient experience.  

You'll play an essential role in helping connect patients with research opportunities while ensuring medical information is collected accurately, confidentially, and in accordance with study protocols. 

  
What You'll Do: 

  • Conduct telephone pre-screening interviews with prospective clinical research participants that range from health volunteers to a wide variety of patient populations with a focus on obesity and weight-management clinical trials.

  • Collect, review, and accurately document medical history, current medications, health conditions, weight history, previous weight-management approaches and other study-specific eligibility information. 

  • Assess patients against established study eligibility criteria using approved screening guidelines. 

  • Schedule qualified patients for consent and screening visits with clinical teams. 

  • Update and maintain patient records and eligibility status within clinical databases. 

  • Coordinate daily recruiting activities, including outbound calls, inbound inquiries, voicemail management, and text communications. 

  • Support patient outreach initiatives to increase enrollment in clinical research studies running in our Trialmed sites

  • Collaborate with research coordinators and clinical staff to ensure a seamless patient experience. 

 

Who We're Looking For: 

We're looking for someone who is comfortable: 

  • Discussing medical history and sensitive health information with patients over the phone. 

  • Having thoughtful, respectful conversations about weight, obesity, metabolic health, and related medical conditions while creating a welcoming and nonjudgmental experience.

  • Asking detailed health screening questions with professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality. 

  • Accurately documenting patient responses while maintaining attention to detail. 

  • Explaining clinical research opportunities in a clear and patient-friendly manner 

  • Building rapport with prospective participants who may be hesitant or sensitive when discussing their health and weight-management experiences.

 

Education and Experience Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent 

  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in Patient Recruitment or comparable experience in a call center or customer service environment.
