The Senior Solution Architect, as part of the Strategic Services team, is a client-facing advisor who blends data-management strategy with hands-on business/technical credibility, shaping roadmaps while remaining fluent enough to guide components of solution design and delivery. The Strategic Services team is made up of solution-focused business advisory data strategists and deep technical architects who provide critical assistance to our clients and other internal teams in key areas of: business development, pre-sales client workshops, design/delivery and implementations of our products, acting as journey leaders (MDM, DG, DI, etc.), mentoring/coaching, building out our professional service unit (PSU) offerings, and acting as thought leaders across all of Informatica ProServ. We are always seeking to provide the highest value to our clients and retain them.
This individual will work with other Advisory team members to support each other as well as many of the aforementioned activities. They should come with solid industry knowledge in the data space understanding most if not all of the typical client data journey and also have hands-on experience in leading teams on the client-side so as to be able to build a strong rapport and propose ideas/solutions/strategies to help clients in their strategic but also tactical needs.
Your Impact
Working closely with clients in business development and success assist capacities helping them across a variety of needs (e.g., data strategy, roadmap development, capabilities and use cases alignment, organization models, operating models, adoption strategies, AI readiness, etc.)
Supporting our sales teams (professional services and license sales) in client engagement and expertise including helping drive workshops and discovery sessions which will help in the sales process and scoping
Operating as a senior individual in billable engagement work which will come in the form of more prescriptive professional service units (PSU) outcome-specific engagements as well as more fluid offerings such as our Resident Advisor program working with client leaders to shape/assist their strategies and dive deep into specific needs (e.g., building out a data quality program, creating a data strategy, performing process analysis and optimization, etc.)
Serving as an Informatica Journey leader (MDM, DG, DI, etc.) hosting regular monthly office hours with guest speakers and Q&A sessions to advance broader Informatica ProServ knowledge as well as strong engagement with Informatica product development teams and supporting their quarterly business review (QBR) motions
Collaborating with the Informatica Community of Practice team and sharing knowledge and attending cross-group meetings/sessions
Advancing your own knowledge using Trailhead learning or other educational platforms in Informatica products, across our broader Salesforce ecosystem of products and with critical AI platforms
Building efficiencies into delivery of value to clients seeking ways to leverage AI capabilities to create repeatable and shareable agents/processes
Operating as a mentor/coach through either structured programs or on a more ad-hoc basis helping our team progress to senior expertise
Building out new offerings or optimizing existing ones in our PSU catalog
Working closely with broader Salesforce ProServ colleagues to find synergies and build out broader cross-team capabilities or collaboration whether for specific artifacts, offerings, or in actual engagements
Required Qualifications and Skills
15+ years experience in the data management space
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills leading group workshops or presenting to larger audiences
Strong interviewing, analytical and curiosity skills to solve client needs/problems pulling your wisdom but also leveraging AI tools to streamline the process and reduce blind spots or bias
Knowledge of MDM, Data Governance, Data Quality and how they relate and provide value to client data ecosystems from transactional sources to analytical destinations
Prior leadership roles whether on the business or technical side or both
Ability to multi-task well and juggle several concurrent priorities and client engagements
Autodidactic mindset always curious and always interested in learning and evolving at the pace this entire sector is changing
Working knowledge of modern data architecture sufficient to understand client-side challenges/needs and propose/articulate potential change management and adoption strategies
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Senior leadership experience in prior roles in the data management space including leading COEs, Data teams, development groups, AI/ML groups, etc.
Strong knowledge of AI capabilities and demonstrated track record building reusable AI agents/accelerators that created measurable efficiency
Experience in the healthcare and life sciences space understanding how clients are organized, what their typical goals are, regular challenges they face and general knowledge of industry terms/acronyms/processes
Some knowledge and experience with other Salesforce capabilities/platforms such as Tableau, Data360, Salesforce, Mulesoft, etc.
Ability to understand data diagrams (ERDs) and how information may be related including work with conceptual architectures
