The Visa Leadership Associate Program is a structured development experience for early-career professionals who want to build broad business capabilities and explore a career in commercial leadership at Visa.
Through rotations, training, mentoring, and cohort learning, participants can build professional relationships, deepen their understanding of Visa’s business, strengthen their global perspective, and develop practical leadership skills.
Rotational Assignments
Complete four distinct six-month rotational assignments during the two-year program.
These rotations are shaped around four core competencies that we’ve identified as essential components of the future leader toolkit; Client Centricity, Product Development, Financial and Data Acumen and Strategic Thinking.
Associates will be matched with teams across functions including Marketing, Fintech Partnerships, Product Management, Sales, Social Impact and many more!
Training and Development
Every six months, participants attend a one-week, classroom-based development program with the U.S. cohort. Sessions align with Visa’s leadership principles and may cover data analysis and visualization, communicating with influence, presenting to senior audiences, design thinking, and project management.
Learn from Visa leaders, subject-matter experts, and program alumni to build foundational knowledge of the payments industry.
Receive support from an assigned mentor who can help you build professional relationships, set development goals, and navigate career opportunities.

All Visa roles require digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday work.
We are hiring for the Visa Leadership Associate Program in the Bay Area; rotations may be placed in our Foster City or San Francisco offices.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Less than 6 months of relevant work experience with either Bachelor's or Master's degree graduating May 2026 - August 2027
Must be available to start working August/September 2027 – no early or late start dates to ensure a common onboarding experience and development opportunities
Preferred Qualifications
All majors are welcome to apply (common majors: Business Administration, Management Information Systems, International Business, Management, Finance)
Ability to analyze information and communicate insights using one or more relevant tools, such as Excel, Tableau, SQL, or comparable tools.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and conversation, adapt messages for the audience, and use sound judgment when handling business information.
Familiarity with, experience using, or interest in learning about generative AI tools and their responsible use in business settings.
Ability to assess challenges, seek relevant input, and take practical steps toward resolution.
Ability to collaborate with people from different functions, backgrounds, and perspectives.
Ability to take ownership, use available resources, and follow work through to an agreed outcome.

Additional Information
U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary for a new hire into this position is $95,680 USD which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance.
Work Authorization: Permanent Authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment for this position. Visa will not sponsor applicants for work visas in connection with this position. Future sponsorship will not be considered.
