Do you want to turn recurring security gaps into enterprise-wide solutions that protect millions of customers? As a Senior Technical Program Manager on Amazon's Differentiated Security Team, you will lead a program that identifies systemic security challenges surfaced through acquisitions and partner engagements, proves solutions work in real environments, and transitions them to long-term owners. This is a high-visibility role where you will define program strategy, influence senior leaders, and drive cross-functional delivery across security engineering, business security, and infrastructure teams. If you thrive in ambiguity, build consensus across organizations, and are energized by turning complex problems into simple, scalable solutions - we want to talk to you.

This is not a maintenance role. You will build the program's operational framework from the ground up by defining how security signals enter the pipeline, how initiatives are prioritized, and what "done" looks like. You will work at the intersection of mergers and acquisitions, security engineering, and enterprise infrastructure, giving you a vantage point into security challenges that most teams never see.

What makes this role unique:
- You see security problems before anyone else. M&A integrations and partner engagements surface gaps in non-standard environments that standard security teams do not encounter
- Every initiative has a finish line. You prove solutions work, then hand them off. You are a transient owner by design, not a permanent operator.
- You shape the program, not just run it. The operational model, lifecycle framework, and prioritization rubric are being built now. You will have direct influence over how this program works for years to come
- Your work has enterprise-wide impact. Solutions born from this program scale across dozens of business units and hundreds of thousands of applications.

Key job responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of a security solutions program from signal identification through proof-of-concept, investment pitch, and transition to a funded long-term owner
- Define program strategy, build prioritization mechanisms, and create measurable success criteria that keep a portfolio of concurrent initiatives on track
- Drive cross-functional delivery across security engineering, business security, and infrastructure teams - often in environments with non-standard technology stacks
- Write strategic narratives and present trade-offs, progress, and investment recommendations to Directors and VPs
- Build mechanisms such as intake rubrics, initiative registries, and stage-gate frameworks that make the program repeatable and scalable beyond any single person.

A day in the life
You might start the morning facilitating a cross-functional design review to evaluate whether an existing security solution can close a newly identified gap, or whether a new approach is needed. After lunch, you could be writing an investment narrative to transition a validated solution to its long-term owner. When an active acquisition closes, you may step in as the integration TPM - coordinating security workstreams across engineering, infrastructure, and the acquired business to drive Day 1 readiness and post-close milestones. No two days look the same; the program spans concurrent initiatives at different lifecycle stages, and you keep them all moving forward.

About the team
Our team enables Amazon to securely capture new revenue streams through mergers and acquisitions. We lead security integration for newly acquired businesses - coordinating across engineering, infrastructure, and compliance teams to drive risk reduction and security posture parity in environments where standard solutions do not yet reach. Our Security Initiatives program operates as a solution incubator: we identify systemic security challenges surfaced through acquisitions and partnerships, prove solutions work, and hand them to funded long-term owners. You will join a globally distributed team of security engineers and technical program managers who value data-driven decisions, partnership, and building durable capabilities for the enterprise.

Amazon Security values diverse experiences. Even if you do not meet all of the qualifications and skills listed in the job description, we encourage candidates to apply.
