The Role and Impact
As the GPU Software Engineering Manager, you will lead a talented team of engineers and architects responsible for developing high-performance, scalable, and reliable GPU software stacks. You will guide efforts in architecture, design, validation, debugging, optimization, and customer engagement to deliver cutting-edge software solutions for next-generation graphics and compute products. Your leadership will play a critical role in ensuring alignment with silicon and hardware roadmaps, driving impactful results, and enabling innovation in GPU technology that powers transformative advancements across industries.

The GPU Software Engineering Manager will be part of Intel's Data Center Group (DCG), which drives technological innovation to deliver world-class data-centric solutions for the most demanding computing environments. The group focuses on designing and delivering high-performance products across data center, cloud, and edge domains, supporting Intel's broader mission of advancing the future of computing and enabling customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage a team of GPU software engineers and architects to deliver high-quality GPU software solutions.
- Oversee the architecture, design, validation, debugging, optimization, and support of software enhancements and new products.
- Ensure alignment of software deliverables with silicon and hardware roadmaps, guaranteeing timeliness, cross-functional integration, and competitive performance benchmarks.
- Collaborate closely with silicon design, architecture, and product management teams to meet product requirements and drive innovation.
- Develop and execute clear team goals and strategies to ensure successful execution of projects.
- Foster a productive and inclusive work environment by inspiring the team, applying differentiated performance management, and maintaining accountability.
- Lead efforts to optimize engineering practices, improve processes, and enhance team capabilities.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 12+ years of professional experience in software development, engineering management, or a related domain; OR Master's degree in relevant field of study and 8+ years of professional experience; OR PhD in relevant field of study and 6+ years of professional experience.
- Proven expertise in GPU software development, including architecture, design, validation, debugging, and optimization.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and Python, as well as experience with GPU-related tools and frameworks.
- Demonstrated success in leading and managing technical teams to deliver complex software projects.

Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of graphics and compute software stacks, including APIs such as OpenCL, Vulkan, or DirectX.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration with silicon design, architecture, and product management teams.
- Familiarity with benchmarking methodologies and competitive analysis in GPU technologies.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire teams, drive results, and foster collaboration in diverse environments.
- Commitment to developing team members and creating a culture of innovation and accountability.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $233,990.00-330,340.00 USD

 

 

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Work Model for this Role
