We are looking for a Principal Business Developer (External Business Developer / EBD) to serve as the face of Amazon's global relationship with a portfolio of SVA vendors. As an EBD, you will be the centralized strategic connector between our most important vendor partners and Amazon's WW Stores teams — driving shared value through Global Joint Business Plans (JBPs), Joint Business Initiatives (JBIs), and executive-level engagement. You will own the end-to-end external relationship for your assigned vendors, collaborating deeply with Category teams across WW Stores, Internal Business Developers (IBDs) who bring vertical expertise (e.g., Supply Chain, Brand Protection, Catalog, Site Experience), and Global Executive Sponsors (GES) at the VP/Director level.

This is a high-visibility, high-autonomy role that requires exceptional strategic thinking, relationship management, cross-functional influence, and the ability to operate across geographies, cultures, and business functions.

Key job responsibilities
• Global Vendor Relationship Ownership: Serve as the single-threaded global point of contact for assigned SVA vendors, building trust-based, executive-level relationships with vendor leadership worldwide.
• Joint Business Planning: Develop and continuously evolve living Global JBPs in collaboration with WW Stores Category teams and vendor partners. Ensure JBPs reflect a three-year strategic horizon with clear in-year priorities and measurable outcomes.
• Joint Business Initiative Execution: Drive JBIs through independent execution, partnership with local Category teams across WW Stores, and structured hand-offs to IBD subject matter experts for specialized initiatives. Hold others to launch or resolution timelines.
• WW Stores Connectivity: Eliminate information asymmetry across WW Stores and partner teams (e.g., Ops, AWS, Ads). Ensure global strategies incorporate local financial goals with visibility into high-impact decisions across all stores.
• Executive Engagement: Partner with Global Executive Sponsors (GES) to prepare and execute Top-to-Top (T2T) meetings, QBRs, and other executive forums. Ensure engagements reinforce JBI priorities and confront roadblocks at the highest levels.
• Strategic Influence & Force Multiplication: Influence team priorities, business strategies, and goals across WW Stores through data-driven contributions. Create scalable mechanisms and best practices that elevate the SVA program.
• Program Evangelism & Reporting: Drive SVA visibility across WW Stores leadership through global scorecards, xBRs, and flashes communicating relationship health, JBI progress, and business impact — particularly margin and supply chain savings.
• Vendor Portfolio Management: Evaluate vendors against SVA tenets for program inclusion, recommend continuation or transition strategies, and manage controlled handoffs where appropriate.

About the team
Strategic Vendor Acceleration (SVA) is Amazon's unified, global program for managing our most strategically important vendor relationships across Worldwide (WW) Stores. SVA's mission is to make Amazon Retail the first call for global growth for the brands customers care about most — because working with us is faster, simpler, and more valuable than any alternative. We do this by combining executive-level external connectivity, expert-level internal defect elimination, and streamlined vendor access to Amazon's newest programs and innovations across all WW Stores.
