Job Description & Summary
At PwC, our people in tax services focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy. These individuals help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimise their tax positions.As a Senior VAT Consultant, you will support clients with their VAT compliance obligations and will be collaborating with colleagues from Spain, Italy, France and Central and Eastern European countries.
You will have the opportunity to develop further as a professional VAT consultant and acquire skills in business development, building client relationships, and leading teams, which will allow you to grow in the organization.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
Prepare and review VAT submissions and returns on behalf of Spanish, Italian and/or French clients;
Support clients during tax audits, control procedures and disputes with tax authorities;
Actively participate in client meetings, teleconferences and presentations;
Collaborate with international teams and stakeholders;
Work as part of project teams and contribute to the successful delivery of client engagements.
What we are looking for:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in VAT compliance, covering one or combination of French, Spain and Italy jurisdictions;
University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Law or a related field;
Excellent command of written and spoken English;
Knowledge of French, Spanish and/or Italian will be considered a strong advantage;
Strong Microsoft Office skills;
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
Commitment to a long-term career in tax consulting.
