We are actively searching for a motivated individual with strong work ethics to join our team as a Pharma Analytics Field Applications Scientist for the UK and Ireland. In this role, you’ll support customers applying our best-in-class solutions for lot-release and in-process quality control of life-saving medicines. What you'll do
- Deliver post-sales support via training, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization, both on-site and remotely
- Collaborate with customers to efficiently implement Pharma Analytics solutions.
- Act as customer advocate to influence product and workflow improvements
- Provide technical feedback to internal teams and represent Thermo Fisher at events
- Support sales through product discussions and live demos
What you'll need
- A degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field (PhD with relevant focus, MSc plus 3+ years industry experience, or BSc plus 6+ years industry experience)
- Hands-on experience with real-time PCR, digital PCR, Sanger sequencing, and/or capillary electrophoresis
- Knowledge of nucleic acid extraction and workflow development
- Experience with analytical HPLC in life sciences or pharma
- Familiarity with assay design and regulatory environments in biopharma
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a virtual, matrixed team
- Fluent in English
- Willingness to travel (50–65%) and valid driver’s license
